Hmm not quite, mine does. I have an ATI all-in-wonder x1800xt, I have a similar to tivo function. It has an on-demand feature and a remote just like a regular dvr. I see no reason to get this if you have a good PC, and if u want one in a living room make a media center PC. this thing is gonna go down like $20 prostitute.

I cover my bases...
1)Xbox w/xecuter 2.6 solderless
2)Ps2 (slim) w/DMS4 Lite
3)Ps2 V7 w/DMS4 Lite and 200 Gig Maxtor HDD
4)GC w/qoob pro

we're aggree but but a pvr is not tivo.My hauppage wintv has what they call a hardware pvr and although they work the same tivo gives much better results. The technology has come a long way though and personal pvr's are getting better.

Like I've said it's a pc in a small form factor. It is in fact a media center pc.

The links I posted have "Pre Order the EVO: Phase One Next Generation Media Center Hub" and they talk about it as a game and media center pc hybrid.

700 isn't that bad though when you look at the specs. It would be hard to get a media center pc as cheap.

I realize it's not that powerful compaired to a gaming rig with sli and all the bells and whistles but those cost upwards of $4000

I recommend that face because you'll get more power and joy out of a ps3.Plus like I said you'll have to use a mouse and keyboard as where the ps3 has a controller.

This aint bad for pc game fans but it's not going to touch a ps3.

This is a waste of plastic.......

For 700 you can get a console, pc upgrades and a tivo. This is probably the worst idea in the history of gaming.

did you see how much it was tho? the specs are crap compared to the ps3, and it cost much more. all this is is on the market computer parts thrown together.

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

yea, and that is what I was thinking, how will they have a real live tivo in there (or equivalent) if all it is is off the shelf parts, I think it'll just have a PVR, like my all-in-wonder card. I guess it could be a good deal, but i don't need one as I do have the high dollar gaming rig.

yeah, its pretty low end considering what they want tho.

I would never get one cause I have a pc that can play all the games plus I would just get a ps3 for that price.

For 700 bucks it's got descent hardware. One must remember this company doesn't have nearly the funds of a giant like sony or ms so They can't take such a loss on every system they sell.

This still doesn't constitute as a ps3 clone though. The gamepad may look similar, but it's not like the playstation controller was built from scratch. This console seems like it's trying to pry itself into an inbetween market between console and PC gaming, and if It succeeds, than I don't really see a problem.

ALthough, If I had 700 dollars to spend at my will, I'd much rather go for a ps3. I wish this console luck, though. And despite my hope that Sega will roll out with another console, all I can hope for is another contenter in an increasingly stale-to-me console war.

what are you guys talking about? the specs are terrible for the price. the PC in my sig is much more powerful and costed less than this. not to mention conroe and all the AMD price cuts that will make this an even worse value.

yes. the x1600 is a low end card, even the x800 beats it. the 3200 is not a wonderful processor. i've said this all alogn the specs are not worth it at all. plus the controller is ugly and looks kinda 3rd party to me..like not an official one at all. and the case is too clunky and large, and the shape doesnt make it fit well anywhere.

this evo console/pc looks like a rip off, they are just trying to make money with all the buzz. its like the Phantom gaming console from Infinium Labs. I don't know if it was shown at E3 or not, but it looks to me like all show and no trousers
