they are, but not petty arguments. so this game that is supposedly huge, is it proven? have the devs come out officially to say that how much space the game is taking up? what about other games? is this just one game with no compression for sony to be all "omg omg bluray has a point this early on!"?

You know I did think about that at first, sony paying X amount of money to the developers of Resistance to finalize the game and make it "appear" to be as big as possible when they could compress the files and use very little of the disc. Personally I think the site that had the article is a very reputible site especially MTV who had the original story. I suppose I won't believe anything till I see a lot of info on it. Maybe they can compress it but they chose not to because it does benifit the game. Faster loading times, faster fps? Who knows. I've been very optomistic about the playstation 3 since i've heard about it and the only let down i've had was the change in release date. As long as I have a working ps3 Nov 17th and some decent games to go with it, I don't care if the games are 1 gig in size.

nothing really related to the ps3. it was on display at leipzig, and that is about it. there is a video were a guy takes the ps3 out of the showcase, and claims that is the final design for the system. i'll try to find the link....
