whats with you people! the reason there is no vibration function in the PS3 is because sony got sue'd for patent infringment! like years ago! they got told not to sell vibration controllers in the US and everything... nothing to do with it 'interfearing with other features' honestly, where were you all?

I have an "extreme gaming chair". And it's extreme. Soft yet impossible to move nor look away for the tv screen/food.

the ps3 itself i think is about 10 or 11 pounds and the controller is said to be lighter than the current ps2 controller

i need an extreme sitting device...i've told my self i do not have a.d.d. but now i've come to peace with the fact that i have it to the max. so a nice chair that wont let me move would help.
and yes i've heard about how sony was sued, but i always thought it was a rumor, i heard it from some kid at school, now i know thanks

could "rumble" be incorporated into the new ps3 controller with tilt?
Quote: :In fact, Immersion CEO and president Victor Viegas, who has been presiding over increasingly militant attempts to get Sony to work with Immersion on rumble/tilt options for the PlayStation 3 controller, commented with regards to Immersion's TouchSense tech: "This... technology can work alongside motion and tilt sensing and provides backward compatibility for existing dual-motor systems, allowing an implementation path at any stage of product lifecycle, even after a console model has launched."
these guys say so, you be the judge. i for one say.........
Quote: :The company, which is still in the process of suing Sony over alleged misuse of controller rumble patents, formally announced its TouchSense vibration technology in June, clearly as a counter to Sony's claims that the PlayStation 3 controller will lack a rumble feature - due, they say, to hardware interference caused by its gyroscopic controls announced at E3 2006.

@hade Yeah the third comment in the thread (the first comment I made in the thread) said that there was already a topic on this. In fact four of them.

You know I dont think that is such a good idea for you. You may go insane from not being able to move LOL. But the chair I have now Is the best. As I said earlier.

I dont think people will be happy when they buy the PS3 bring it home and then discover that there is no vibration function in the Controller anymore, I know I would be because I like the Sense of reality it gives to the game. I do not no what tyhey were thinking but I think they best put a bit more thought on it even if that means paying a company to use there patent. Anyone else have anything to add.

if you or anyone is too lazy to push one button every once in awhile, then how come its just fine to slam the rest endlessly? are people out there really that lazy that one button taking 1 second of your life means the end of liking the ps3 controller? this world is disgraceful..
(was aimed in general not at anyone specific....)
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

by not having one right away at launch could prove to be a good thing. just look at the 360s launch and the problems that followed earlybird ps2 owners as well. i happend to have and still have the ps2 i got at launch which still works btw. occasionally there is the infamous read error, but it works....so you could actually benefit by waiting and having some of the bugs worked out before you get a system. most people agree there are always going to be defects when it comes to electronics.

I think that since I am so on top of things, i'm going to preorder 2 release systems, and then sell one on ebay to make up all expenses and turn in a profit.
