also, when you say copy these files into your xbox, do u mean the highlighted ones, or all of them. why not just copy over all of them?

because many of them you don't need and it just takes up space on your HD. about your problem: creating a games folder is fine, it will work the same way. And make sure you copied the fonts folder into your maps folder. That is usually the problem for dirty disc error.
edit: copy what I highlight or box

OK i use evoX for linux nd have been modding for a while. I hav never figured out how to get the old maps tho. When i try to put halo 2 in my xbox with evoX going, it loads up halo 2. I can FTP, so i kno that isnt the problem. U said that we needed to put "your halo 2 disc in your xbox (remain in the modded dashboard)" but i cant do taht, can u tell me how to?

i turn on my xbox with splinter cell in. I go to profiles and choose linux, tehn checkpoints. Then evoX pops up and i go to "systemutils" then settings. Then i can FTP in that screen.

no, i hav never seen a "softmod" button. I just connect with FlashFTP, and go to folder E.. then the other folders where the maps are, and overwrite them with the moded ones.

Great tut.... curious if this would work for xbox live... also wondering if these are all the same files you would need to create a bootleg halo 2 cd to be able to mod old maps online.
