How to copy Halo 2 to your HDD
By xxteakxx
Reason
This is for people who want to mod old maps, but don't know how.
What you need
FTP program I'm using filezilla, but FlashFXP is the same basic concept
Filezilla: http://easynews.dl.sourceforge.net/sourc..._2_27_setup.exe
FlashFxp: http://files.filefront.com/FlashFXP+34+S...;/fileinfo.html
Halo 2 Disc
Getting Started
1.Put your halo 2 disc in your xbox (remain in the modded dashboard If you can't, make sure you set autolaunch to off in your settings so it won't automatically launch the game.)
2.Open your FTP program and connect to your xbox. If the D drive doesn't appear, type in /D on the address bar and hit enter.

3.Bring all these files over to your computer

4.Now go into your maps folder and copy these folders to your computer

5.Now, in your games folder(if you don't have a games folder, create one.), make a folder called Halo 2.

6. Now bring your media folder, and your four .xbe files into your halo 2 folder.

7.Now right click on your xbox side and click "Create Directory" for Filezilla or "Make Folder" for FlashFXP and make a folder called bink and a folder called maps.

8. Now go into your maps folder and bring these folders from your computer to your xbox. (Don't put anything in the bink folder. Im pretty sure you have to have it. I'm putting it there just in case.

9. Your final setup should look like this.

10. You're done. You can now play halo 2 old maps off your hardrive.
To play, just go to the games selection on your dashboard or run file explorer, go to games, halo 2, and select default.xbe.
