ok guys yall should gimme some thx 4 this share for the hdd, ok first u need ultra iso (not the trial version) then u open it in there and open up that system file with notepad and theres an mistypo next to boot2 now just put this in BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLUS_211.11;1 (just add the 1 at the end) now 'save as' on your desktop, now the 1 on the desktop just drap it in the ultra iso, then it will say r u sure u wanna replace it 'yes' and the u got it. and just to make sure open it back up with the notepad and see if the 1 is added. NOW just save the scarface iso then burn it to dvd with watever program u usally use. o yea p.s enable modes 1 and 3 in hdd.

Hi I all Iam Glad 2 see the release of Scarface Ps2 Hydro,I downloaded the torrent,
I Burned it in to DVD but doesn't works It gives me a harsh noise when i put that DVD.
I thought it would be the problem either of DVD or ISO & Then I Converted ISO file into bin,
Then I tried to write it with Blindwrite 6.After Finishing the burning i accidently looked at its writted surface there was only 1/5 of DVD written,I was amused at this because first DVD was about full space used.
Anyway I tried to put into my PS2 Now I got PS2 Screen after that Sacrface Screen & THEN THE SAME HARSH CRAKING NOISEappears.
Should I buy the original which would be higly priced ?
Pls Help how to burn this &
I am Downloading this PS2 DVD game for First time & not sure that other pS2 torrents would be like this,Downloaded PS2 CD games are working.
Note: I Have a PS2 with mod chip ,OR,Should i need SWAP MAGIC + ZONE LOADER 4 THIS

you can actually "fix" the iso so you dont need to use zoneloader.
unpack the iso and open the system.cnf file in notepad.
edit it as such:
Original format
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLUS_211.11;
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
Fixed format (this is what you need to edit it to)
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLUS_211.11;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
I.E - add "1" to the end of the BOOT2 line
then rebuild as you would rebuild an iso normally
^^ it works btw, zoneloader started to piss me off then i learned of this fix :)

I tried using ultraiso and putting the one in. That worked fine but when i transfered it to my HDD and loaded it using HD Advance 3.0 it didn't work. I tried numerous modes and none worked. Anyone else having problems with HD advance?

Postive i did it correct. I went back and double checked everything. I used hdl dump to transfer it to my HDD, do i have to use zoneloaded?

Thank U that But It Failed,My DVD has Gone, Ill tell u:
First I did wat u told to do by adding '1 ' in the line & after that I rebuilded with CDGEN ( i dont no my rebuild is correct or not)
& after that i burned it with Alchol 120%( I like This Software Than others) after That When I Put it in PS2 It shows 'Put a PS2 format disc'
My PS2 has modchip also,Do I need Swap Disc ,I Have Zone loader in which I later put and shows the same thing It isnt a PS2 disc.
When ever I ask about scarface they are giving different answers,I dont Know which is correct or wrong ,Iam really confused & sad that i cant play scarface which would be best game like GTA.
Does this problem occurs in any other game If So pls tell & i will be aware of it.

blzert Told to rebuild it,So I did,By the Way ,Should I need to convert it to BIN or Burn the ISO. Iam Asking this because My DVD are wasted,after i burn this any other guy would say to burn in other way.
Iam really confused & I think 2 buy it... PRICE is thing that really matters.

Geez! This isn't rocket science. Its simple to get this game to work & you have 2 methods in which to do it. A rebuild isn't required for either;
1. ZoneLoader Method.
Download the ZoneLoader DVD version, burn to a good quality blank DVD.
Boot ZoneLoader after Swap Magic DVD, then switch to scarface backup (also burnt to good quality media)
Play game.
2. Editing SYSTEM.CNF method.
Extract the iso from the archives with WinRAR.
Open the iso with Apache (v2 or 3 it doesn't matter)
Right click the SYSTEM.CNF file & extract it (keep Apache open)
Open a blank notepad & drag & drop the SYSTEM file into it.
Edit the boot line as previously shown, then save it by changing the save as file type tab in notepad to 'all files' & save as SYSTEM.CNF, choosing to overwrite if prompted. You can now close notepad.
In Apache again, right click SYSTEM.CNF, and choose to 'update file', browse to your previously extracted & edited SYSTEM.CNF file & click ok.
Apache will tell you the file has been updated.
Close Apache with the red X in top right corner.
Burn iso to good quality media & boot with Swap Magic as normal
Play game.
Cost is irrelevant, you could waste up to 159 blank DVDs before it ends up costing you the same as the game would to buy.
You wouldnt waste any if you use the best media, and a little common sense.
Burning games is as easy as drawing a picture of a square. You just need the right tools for the job.

Could any one Pls Come up with Screenshots how 2 do this, which could be more helpfull.
& I downloaded the Scarface torrent which was hydro release.
Do this happen to every games,though i may be downloading some.
Somewhere in this site SCARFACE PS2 in HDD is working wat is this HDD,Is it Hard disk Drive or somrething else,I dont have a HDD for PS2.

The HDD is the hard Drive that hooks up to the PS2 network adapter inside of a pS2. I have a version 4 PS2 which works fine for me with a HDD and Swap Magic 3.6 which I rarely use since I'm running HDLoader. I can't even remember the last time I burned a game to a disc.

ACE1UK thanskd for the write up but it doesnt work man, when you go to update file, it says selected file is differnt size from original and wont let you re write file, original CNF file is 57bytes, and after adding the "1" it makes it 58 bytes. now what?

why doesnt someone fix the .iso, then share it as a torrent? I ripped a copy of the game from someone who has it, but it wont let me play it. I am trying to figure out how to save this file to the iso once I change it, but I only have a trial iso unpacker, which means. It will not save anything over 300mb. If I can get this to work for me, I will start to upload the Scarface iso file.

I changed the system file for scarface and burned at 2x speed and it works great with swap magic 3.3. Thanks no more zoneloader.What about ps2 resevoir dogs can you edit the system cnf file for this game as well so you dont need to use zoneloader. I have the PAL version of resevoir dogs. Please help

ok I just finished with my backup a few hours ago and haven't had any trouble with playing it. I have a slim ps2 w/ flip and swap magic 3.6. I am using windows xp sp2. I did get the same error message, so this is the way I did it:
1. rip with DVD Decrypter
2. open image in apache 3
3. extract all files to a folder on desktop
4. open that folder and open notepad
5. drag system.cnf from folder into notepad
6. edit the first line by adding a 1 at the end (BOOT2=cdrom0:\SLUS_211.11;1)
7. click "save as" and make sure you change file type to all files, then save as system.cnf
8. click ok to replace existing file
9. open $ony cddvdgen 2.0
10. click create new project
11. click dvd-rom master disk
12. open the file folder and drag the items in one at a time in this order:
*SLUS_211.11
*SOUND.RCF
*SYSTEM.CNF
*IRX
*CEMENT.RCF
*MOVIES.RCF
13. click volume tab and enter "slus" in first box of disc name. in second box enter "21111". enter playstation in producer name.
14. click record and select location. click ok to 2 error messages. click file, export image, and select location again.
15. it will make a bunch of files wherever you told it to save at. you don't need the .iml, .ims, or .lst. open CDDVD Generator by JRLS and add all the files ending in numbers(I had sf.000, sf.001, sf.002, sf.003) you can hold ctrl and click them one by one to add them all at once. click ok. then type the name for the iso file and click build.
16. burn with imgburn at 1x
