If you have installed incd, uninstall. If not, download recordnow max trial version as see if that makes a difference but make sure in the dvd options that the "Tao is closed" and all files are inserted to the VIDEO_TS folder. Also check to make sure there is no default file in the VIDEO_TS folder from your dvd decoding software e.g Powerdvd or Windvd. If so delete it. Otherwise it maybe that your dvd player may be fussy. See how you go.

Are you using different discs when burning? Are you burning at the same speed? Try burning with Nero in UDF/ISO mode and before burning select 'UDF' tag and then change the figure in the bottom 'on file system version' box to UDF 1.50. This setting seems to be more compatible for playback if you experience problems.

usmcja,
The problem is quite possibly with Nero. I've been using Record Now DX that came with my Sony VAIO and no problems at all.

Herbsman...sorry for the late reply...I have been using constant & variable, & i haven't really seen much difference between the 2 of them.

When I have a shorter movie to do with DVD2One 1.2 I'll try out constant bitrate & report any difference if any...
Cheers for answering btw

You only need to force partition if you are burning a PC game. To get to UDF/ISO just cancel the wizaed when it appears and scroll down the left column to UDF/ISO. When selected click on 'new' then drag your files and burn. Yes you can try UDF only but I only use this for data discs. It would be a case of trial and error.

I love DVD Shrink, it's by far the best compression app i have ever used!
I backed up my copy of 8-Mile with all the extra's, menu everything, and compressed the movie on level 9 and it all runs perfect!!!
The picture is perfect, sound is great and the menu's run as normal.
Thank god for the people who brought us DVD Shrink!
Pioneer 104 with 140 firmware(can burn CD-RW 2x)
Rip and compress with DVD Shrink
Then burn with Nero...
takes about 1hr 30mins in total for any film.
Simple.
