No, I just think I'm kidding myself if I think I'm not going to eventually get both systems. Now, buying both BluRay and HDDVD stand alone players...that makes no sense. Right now at least.

If I was to get one it would be a 360, becos I like driving games for console. And also HD DVD plays in a normal dvd plaer I think so no need for a PS3 to play them :P

Meh whatever, to be honest I don't really care :P
And no, I meant ps3 becos it has a hd dvd drive. So...it would apply to both consoles...
Anyway, whatever.

Well it looks like they are releasing titles for HD-DVD and Blu Ray.Example tomorrow (Monday) Mission Impossible 3 is being released on DVD,HD-DVD and Blu-ray.So it looks like both formats are here to stay.

Microsoft should have included the software in there machine, instead of us having to go buy an externel player.

I am wondering that you know when BluRay or HD-DVD or both become mainstream it will be expensive but will DVD get kicked out?
Because if BR and HDDVD have a capacity of 20gig or more and thats how much the movies take up it will kind of hard to be sharing movies then wont it, I mean through p2p apps that is and BT.

As the movies get bigger the net gets faster :) plus a 4 g movie is usally around 700mb but dling movies isn't my thing. The quality is way to bad. I just burn them.

You know they should be finding ways to make things smaller not bigger, why could they not invent something like a 3mb BluRay disc that holds forty movies with super quality?
EDIT; the 3mb thing was an example!

Why? Making things bigger is straight sexy! Then you can laugh at your newb friends. Plus its just impossilbe. Unless you compress and it gets all nubish so you keep your floppys and ill rock my 500 g blu-rays.

gah! you missed the point; imagine this, in the future we got so advanced we found a way to have qaulity better than HD but only takes up a few MB of space, then imagine how much that 500G BluRay disc will hold (probably a million movies and a billion games ;)

I mean yeah that sounds all cool and all, but I don't think its possible. I mean not any type of scale. Because people want better quality and the more quality the more space it takes up. So first I don't think you can make stuff smaller without taking quality away. So thats why we need huge disks. For ultra high res Jessica Simpson booty shakin'
