The cheapest place I've found for 1X-2X Ritek G03's is http://www.myeshop.ca/ - $190.00 for a 100 pack.

They're based in Richmond, BC so if you're in BC you'll be paying PST + GST on top of the $190. Shipping is very reasonable (I think they actually lose money with their shipping costs).

Just to let the rest of you Canadians know, if you guys order by mail from out of province, you will NOT be charged PST - it's not the same as if you import from the U.S., where you get stuck paying PST/GST + customs. For those in Ontario, you can order from B.C., etc and avoid PST - you pay only GST & shipping costs.

That's a pretty decent price. Even with shipping it's still slightly cheaper than my local store charges.

If you can't find inexpensive media in your city that might be the way to go.

All the bruning info you need to start is here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd9dvd2one

hey tricher, you might wanna take the "more-call me" part out of the price listing since I don't see a phone number what so ever. Also, I was wondering what city are you in?

I have used white Princo 1X from Sonnam in Toronto for several months, several hundred burns, ZERO defects. On the contrary, I have tried spindles of 2X Ritek some of which were fine, but two batches would burn only through about 3.2 GIGS, then fail.

The Princos read fine on Xbox,Toshiba, Sony and others (friends 'borrow' them, no failures). Currently they are about $1.40 in bulk.

Ya I joked about it to her and when she called me from Delaware on Monday she said that she was bring me a surprise. I then asked to make sure if they were the right disks. I am glad I have a DVD-RW drive, as she almost got me the +R but didn`t think you could write to them. Quite funny, I have a lot of computer stuff to teach her. She is still triing to get hardware terminalogy down. She is very cute.

Sunny computers in Markham has the newest Ritek GO4's that they just got in this week. I was told that they have been improved over the last GO4's. There prices aren't great but they have lots in stock $3.40 a disk. I would really like to now if you can burn to the edge with these disk's. I have used Princo and would have to keep my backups under 4GB for the backups to play properly.

WEStar, I've placed 2 different orders of 200 Ritek 1X dvd-r's with myeshop, and both times the service has been excellent.

I haven't used dvdinfo on them, but the discs identify as Ritek G03's in DVD Decrypter and the batch codes on the inner ring of the dvd's appear consistent with Ritek discs (they start with H4, H5, H6, J5 etc. depending on the spindle). I've burned well over 300 of them with maybe 1 or 2 bad burns.
