xbox 360 vs. ps3 online?

well theres only 2 options either upgrade or emulate....
The choice is urs.
Back to topic... playing online should be free. So PS3 for me.
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

Ps3 online is free but thats only 1 advantage. You can't just say ps3 online is better because you don't have to pay for it. I personally don't think anybody cares whats better. I mean you can't really compare the 2 services. XBL is for Xbox, Ps3 online is for Ps3. If they came out with another ps3 online service than i would compare that instead of another systems.

Yeah but still that is the reason I like the ps3 online better because it is free. I dont play xbox live because it cost money I only played it acouple of times and that is because of the free 3 month trial. But if they both cost money the 360 may be better then the ps3. But then again if the ps3 cost money to play online it would probably have improvments to it.

But aren't there 2 types of accounts for 360, Gold membership and Silver membership. I have a gold account, but i think silver is free...

you can say the ps3 online is better for money, but that does not mean its actually better for the actual reasons we get online(to play online games).
PS3 specs may look better than xbox 360 but i am yet to see a game on the PS3 that looks better than any of the top end xbox 360 games such as gears of war, mass effect and halo 3.

Isn't it a little too soon to do a comparison of xbox 360's online service vs PS3's? I mean MS has had at least 3 years to get everything running smoothly and the PS3 hasn't even been out for a month yet.
Just out of curiosity for the people who have actually played the ps3 online how is it so far (not in comparison to anything just the overall experience)?
Spellcheck is a nice invention.
Using BitVomit hurts the swarm your in, get a decent client.

So were not talking about the system cost and anyways eventually the cost for xbox live and the xbox 360 would cost more then the ps3 itself.

ign do not seem to be very impressed with ps3 online, well at least compared to xbox live. read there article.

I am sorry if Pulsar takes offence because I am of the opinion that Playstation are a poor attempt of Sony's as they can't put a half decent laser in their product after making people wait months for their release.
And I add As I understand:
1. I have freedom of my opinion in a forum;
2. As I did not direct my comment at Pulsar there was no need for a Pulsar's comment;
3. If Pulsar wants to start crying because I don't like the Playstion
I will send him a tissue to wipe his eyes and a duster to wipe down his PS3 if he has one.

Pulsar just look past him thats what we do to avoid flamewars.Look at his tag newbie that say it all.I have played PS3 online so far i played Resistance:Fall of man.I have play up to 40 ppl in one room at one time and it ran smooth.I think the PS3 online is going to be just like the XBLive but i think what going to make a clear winner is the content there going to offering online far as is it going to be free or you have to pay for alot of stuff.But its to early to judge the two.But Sony help there online service by dropping them damm dial-up connections no offense but you guys lag up the server.
