gonfishn - that's a pretty nice setup; since ive got the old fatty ps2, HD Loader & fliptop, im gonna try to get all of them working off the HD.
I have a number of .smd ones, but most of the new ones i downloaded are .bin files...can anyone that pgen plays them?
Xplaya - can you link me to the threads/tutorials to getting SNES station and Infones going? is it the same process?
my emu's are pretty old, ive got Nesticle (all NES roms are .nes files for me), Genecyst for sega, some unkown Sega Master System one, and ZNES for super nintendo, and those ones are all .smc.
Anyway, ill find the ones Xplaya mentioned if i can just be pointed in the right direction, or at least where to learn how to boot them off the HD.
man, i had no idea you could turn your PS2 into all my old consoles! you people are awesome.

Xplaya, i owe you a drink, m'man. Thanks again.
if i could trouble you further....
1) ive no idea how to get the FTP going for transfering files to my PS2, is there any other way? The SNES page you linked to only lists that route.
2) can the ROMs themsevles be loaded onto HDloader, or only from said disc? I figure itd be easier if i kept it all on HDL, just dont know fi its an option.
Thanks again either way man, and lemme know what method you/others use for NES emulation. Im gonna spend like an entire day off getting all the old school systems working, no lie.

You can copy the files from a usb stick or cd through launchelf...
And actually I might give that hdloder trick a go 2night or 2moro if I get a chace to.
If you can create a bootable pgen disc with swap magic, you might be able to use WINhiip or hdloder itself to rip the game into hdloader format.
(I havnt tried that much with snes station yet aye, cause I think its still buggy, I tried to play killer instinct one time, and it was playing real badly.) But PGEN is the easiest and best working emulator I know of at the moment, so I will try that one out :)
HOPEFULLY>, maybe you can if you get the chance to.

Yeah, that's the ticket. Ill check back here to see if youve had any sucess - sad to hear the SNES one was buggy, has that only been with KI or other games as well? i know they dont always play at the right framerate/sound right, hoping its close to the original, overall.
So yeah, lemme know if it works and how you got it to do so, and if you get it going, send me your email via message, i owe you that $5 man!

Toejam & Earl is a fun game, but my favs are Primal Rage, Double Dragon, Street Fighter 2, Fatal Fury, Mortal Kombat, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They all run perfectly from a USB flash drive (2 GIG memory stick which I got for less than $20 on sale) with PGEN, which I just file copied from my PC onto the stick. If you wanna spend less than $40, get the Action Replay Max for PS2, and the Media Creator software which comes with it - makes the files for you on the flash drive on your PC. All you do is file copy the ROMs you want to play onto the stick too, and you're in...unplug the USB stick from the PC, plug it into your PS2, boot your PS2 with Action Replay Max, and go to the Media Reader prompt....it will load the PGEN screen and you just pick your old Genesis games right off the menu. I get all the .SMD files to work that way. If you have .BIN files, you can extract the .SMD files from them using utilities (ISO readers, or virtual drives, etc.)
