I have never used memorex but heard enough to stay away. besides the best: Verbatim are cheap enough with this BB sale. Always stock up on these when they are cheap! $30!
WOW!

it was worth a look; there are other online firms that do decent media in UK but you'd have to search the DVDR Media forum for the names/info. i don't use Dual Layer but that would explain the high cost, single layer discs are very cheap indeed on svp

the dual layer verbs at svp have gone up in price slightly :( maybe its the high demand as for single layer i do indeed use svp regular for yuden 003 and verbs but my local maplins were selling 100 verbatim mcc004 +r 4.7gb for £19.99 the other day so i stocked up

i saw the MCC004 deals at maplin but i don't like MCC004 much anyway, i got loads of tubs of 50 at £5 each at PC World ages ago (made in Taiwan) but MCC004 are so-so for me much of the time

yeah, but only if i burn them at 4x, they're 100% trustworthy once burnt/recopied, but my Benq DW1650's don't like them much when burnt at 8x (burns tend to fail or take forever); but quite right, at £5 it was worth struggling back from shop with loads of them. The maplins deal for £20 for 100 is pretty good though, especially as it's Maplins as they're hugley expensve normally :)

LOL, Wow, consider that guy lucky about his rudeness, creaky must have been in a good mood that day cause that gentleman got off easy, anyway yes creaky is right, even tough I never had problems with media like memorex but when you hear these guys (the pro's and many of them on AD) tell you time after time what to use and stay away from it's because they do know what there talking about, Iv'e learned more from people at AD than all other forums I ever visited combined.
