The media i use is ridata, does anyone know if this is reliable? They work fine but I was just wondering about if they would shorten the life span of the laser or not....

I've heard Verbatim is best but Ritek works as well. I never have encountered Riken but the best place for Verbatim is NewEgg.com
Here's a link

Please don't use Memorex anyone. They really suck. I bought 2 ten packs once. I was able to get 5 games in total to work on my Samsung.

Anyone got any good online uk shops for Vertabim? I have searched and all my places are sold out of Vertabim 25 packs :-(

i normally use datawrite without any problems but trying to burn Rainbow six & it keeps giving me dirty disk error so gonna try the disks everyone recommends :-)

@shinnster - a very reputable and cheap UK site is http://www.svp.co.uk and Datawrite are another company to avoid as they use varying quality on disc manufacturers.
Also, that link needs to be removed from your sig

OK your opinion is welcome, but i just hate when people come in here and say memorex and other crap brand media is the best or is a good media.

Oatesy be smart and listen to the moderators and what senior members have to say (well listen to senior members most of the time). Ignore people like motomods. hes just stupid. No offence motomod.

Now..... verbatim is what have been recommend to me by many intelligent staff and people who know what they talking bout.

let me step in here. afunguy24, that was uncalled for, as motomods qualified what worked for him (here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/426563/2579386 ie the link i pasted further up the page) doesn't necessarily mean it'll work for others..

Memorex is an emotive subject around here :)

(ie it makes most of us cry due to the amount of grief it causes burners/dvd players/game consoles)

eBay is not recommended for discs unless you're 300% sure you're getting genuine discs.
Verbs don't cost more than crap media anyways..
