From my first postQuote:
On a side note it seems that some people (including me) have X and O buttons swapped on their psp's when in 3.01 In doesn't happen to all people but here are the registry files to swap them back to their original places.
http://rapidshare.com/files/6249912/Button_Swap_for_3.01.rar.html
Place these files in the ms0:\dh\301\f1\registry.

A bit more about PS3-PSP connectivity. The PSP comes up as a PSP System(Devhook Firmware Installer). It seems kind of funny that sony didn't even attempt to block it out.

Ok this is driving me a little mad :)
I have tried several guides and I get the same errors.
I was running 2.71 se b with dev hook, I took dev hook of in the end and just stuck the games in a made ISO folder and all worked well.
I upgraded to 2.71 se c yesterday, all went well.
But I dont have a x:/pspgame/game150 folder at all. So I made one and did what was said in the above guide. When I exit USB mode and goto the memory card I get a corrupted data symbol, so I cant load the said programs.
So I formatted the card again, stuck all the files in the root dir for devhook, when I click on the upgrade to 3.01 dh firmware the psp resets, gets to the White PSP screen then after a while it turns itself off.
Is this something to do with a previous flash of DevHook?
I have no idea how to get around it.
Many thanks for any help

I have also tried a few other versions of Dev Hook like 0.46.
And each time I run Devhook it also goes to the white PSP screen then turns itself off.
But if I make an ISO folder and stick games in there, the psp reboots and plays the games as normal?

Hey guys what'sd up , my problem with this whole thing is when I tried to use this using the psar dumper , It would say that the settings were corrupt with a blue screen and a bunch of languages. Have you ever had this happen when using devhook v3.02 before ?

Are you sure that you are using the latest version of PSAR dumper that I linked to in my guide? Thats the error you get if you use the old version.

Delete any previous DevHook files on your memory stick before installing DevHook 0.51

Try manually installing it, heres a guide for firmware 1.5:

Yeah that doesn't matter. Just copy hexitnow's registry files to ms0:\dh\301\f1\registry like he said in the first post, it doesn't matter that there isn't any now.

I got it to work on 2.71 SE-C!
To get it to work on 2.71 SE-C you must go to Recovery mode and make the game folder for 1.5 homebrew. You must do this otherwise it will show up as corrupt data. Then put the % and non-% folders in PSP\GAME and then run it. Thats it!
You might want to put that in the first post hexitnow so that people know how to get it running on 2.71 SE.

Thanks for your response eternalis. Now when trying to Xflash my PSP to dump the firmware, the screen still freezes and then the PSP shuts off. I never had any problems updating any devhook before.
Can you help?

Hmmm. It may be something wrong with your PSP.
I'll try and upload the flash1 file now then and I'll post a link when I 'm finished.
EDIT: Ok, download it from here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YDKHD9PE
Extract f1.zip and then copy the folder "f1" to ms0:/dh/301. Then go back to DevHook and try install the configfile to flash1 again and it should work.

What firmware do you have? If its not 2.71 SE-C you dont have to do that. To get into recovery mode hold R on startup.

Eternalis, my JAP 1.5 PSP version was updated to 2.71 SE-C. Just tried the site for the flash (zip f1) and I just copied only the "F1" data which is a config.se to dh/301 as you mentioned. There are other f1 files under the WinZIP but you just want the f1, correct?
While trying to dump the 3.01 firmare or trying to flash the PSP, my PSP still freezes, then shuts off. When do you try to press the "R"? As you try to install the new firmware?

Turn off your PSP. Then press R as your PSP turns on and it will go into recovery mode. Then go to Configuration and select the Game Homebrew folder option.
No its not just the config.se, it should also have the registry folder and some other stuff as well.

Thanks, I think I am getting on to something. Using the R button was the thing for me and choosing the game homebrew option made the 3.01 installer work. Now, I did the flashing as well and I think I got dev0.51 to work. I am playing MGS portable and after a quick reboot, the devhook setting menu appears and under fimware and remote port I see the words "not supported" in yellow. The preload addr is 89200000. The game itself run before for me, under2,71 SE-C, so I don't think it needed the latest 3.01 firmaware. When I go to the update icon it shows 2.81 on my PSP. Does this mean that my update did not go thru?
Thanks again for your time.

Hey dude firstly cheers for putting this all up for us.
However I have a problem.I put all the files in as suggested but when I run the devhook installer I get the following message.
"Failed to create report file
Stick may be full or can't create OUT folder."
My MemStick is definetely not full so any ideas on the problem.
Thanks in advance
