ok. first u have to start easy cd creator 4, if u have it. then, in the top box, go to the correct path for jedioutcast.iso.exe. once u see it, drag it to the bottom box, to the right. then, from the file menu, click on "Create CD Image". then specify where you want the image file to be. then, make sure you make the filename jedioutcast. in the box below that, (still in the saving box) for file type, choose ISO image file (ISO). then, it will start making an image file called jedioutcast.iso. wait for it to finish, as it may take up to 1 hour, depending on hard drive/cpu speed. When it is complete, open my computer, and look for the path. Now, you close the window, and don't worry if the file size is too big, it will be fixed. next, go to www.isobuster.com. download the newest version of iso buster (should be 1.1). now, install isobuster, and start the program. when iso buster opens, click file, "open image file". then, select the jedioutcast.iso file that you created. then click open. when it appears in the right box, double click on it. a menu should come up. then, click "extract jedioutcast.iso. it will take a while, but will create a new file in the same directory as the iso. when it is done, close isobuster. then go to the file it just created (in the same directory as jedioutcast.iso). right click it, and click open with. if you are using windows xp, double click it, and select the program from a list. look for some thing like "the ultimate recovery tool" in the list. that is isobuster. if it is not in the list, go to browse or something like that in that box. go to where you installed isobuster, (default is C, programfiles, smart projects, isobuster). then, double click on it, or select it and click ok. it should open isobuster. in the blue box, on the left, with the arrows, make sure the - is by it. then, click the first file in the right box. now hold shift, and click the last file. release shift. now, right click the group of selected files, and click "extract objects". this will bring up a box asking where to put the files. put them anywhere, as you will have to burn a cd from them. click extract or ok. then, when it finishes, close isobuster. start up adaptec direct cd. insert a blank cd-r, at lest 700 megs. then, when direct cd formats the disk, blah blah blah, and is ready, go to the directory of the files. minimize it, open my computer, double click ur cd writer. now from the task bar, open the other window, with the files. drag a group like last time, with the shift, blah blah blah. now, drag it to the cd writer on your task bar, and keep it there until the cd writer window opens. then keep draging it up, into the box. release shift and the mouse, and it will burn the files to the cd. phew!!!!!!! that was hard work wasn't it. well this is gonna burn, and then, when it's done, right or normal click the cd icon on your taskbar, to the right. if using xp, click the arrow for it to appear if it isn't there. now, click eject or close disk or somethign like that. in the window, make sure u click close CD. now, when its done, open my computer and right click the cd drive, and click open or explore. now, open the gamedata folder. then, double click setup.exe. the one called setup, with an icon of a computer, withan arrow, all in blue. this will install Jedi Knight 2, Jedi Outcast. After everything is ok, you can delete the files from ur hard drive. happy gaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF is this?

How about enabling Windows not to hide file extensions and renaming it to .ISO and burning straight away or mounting with Daemon Tools.

Or go to command prompt and "ren file.iso.exe file.iso"

I had the same problem with mohaa_cd1.iso.exe which I got from the kazaa network. Here is the simple solution. First, rename mohaa_cd1.iso.exe to mohaa_cd1.iso. If you have trouble with that your computer is probably defective so throw it away and watch TV. Next open the image in Nero and when you get the message that says "the entered block size does not correspond to the image length. the block size may be wrong ...." you will have two choices CORRECT and IGNORE. Choose CORRECT and it will bring up the foreign image settings. Put a check in the RAW DATA box and burn the cd. Thats it. Your done. Play and enjoy.

alright guys, rename the file to iso like everyone is saying.. try mounting to virtual drive after that instead of burning and wasting a disc if you do it wrong.(done it many times with other games) however the mohaa file i have comes up with a data2 cab error upon installation. its roughly 696 mb..now if anyone gets this process to work let me know that way i can presume its just a bad dload.

I also downloaded the game medal of honor from kazaa. The files are "mohaa_cd1.iso.exe" and "mohaa_cd2.iso.exe". My question is how do i get rid of the .exe extension? i already tried to just rename it to "mohaa_cd1.iso" but that freezes my computer? any help here would be appreciated.

It seems that you need to do something about the copy protection. Posting links to cracks or similar is not allowed here so..

a guy in another thread said he used WINISO software to burn the .bin file while it still had an .exe extension.. perhaps that would work for you also.

MCDUECE,...Look on the 2nd cd for a folder named " crack " If it is on there, there will be 1 file in it which is a replacement for the game file. ( MOHAA.EXE ) Go to your Medal of Honor folder and make a copy of the MOHAA.EXE and place it in another location for backup purposes. Then take the MOHAA.EXE file from the "Hack" folder on cd2 and place it where the original file was. This should make it work without needing the cd at all. The reason for backing up the original file is if you want to update your version of the game, you will have to replace the original MOHAA.exe back in the Medal of Honor folder, update the game, then place the hacked file back in. This works for me. By the way my copy was from Kazza and it had the "Hack" folder on it. ..Bigdadu

This thread has to be closed. This discussion can be considered as:

1) Suggesting or helping people to obtain copyrighted material via a certain file sharing network
2) Helping people to bypass copy protection schemes of copyrighted software obtained by DOWNLOADING from a file sharing network (not assisting in making a legimate backup of a CD)

This thread has been a borderline case for quite some time, but now I am force to close it as it will be webmaster who may get into trouble due to this discussion (problems with ad companies for example), not the end users.

Please understand that this has to be done and the admins don't have a choice. Keep this kind of issues in mind when discussing here - there is nothing wrong in discussing about CD image burning, but please do not go to details if they clearly show that they involve potentially illegal activity.
