still looking for help
anybody help me access ntl dublin on my new dreambox 500c.
any help would be appreciated

what exactly have you done?
You need to get dreamup and a null modem cable.
You then need to flash an image onto the box ,
I recommend DW 1.6
Do a search for these files they are found quite easily on the net.
You will get all the channels you need.
Let me know if you need any more help.

I just told you?
Get a null modem cable , hook it up to the box.
Get dreamup software, get the DW 1.6 image.
Flash the image to the box.
Do a transponder scan using bruteforce ( you will see this option on the screen when you attempt a scan), all the channels will appear once the scan is complete.
Sorry I can't make it any easier than that.

Thanks for your help. I have flashed that image onto the box. However i can only get 4 or 5 channels and about 10 radio channels. All of the channels are listed but no sound or picture.

Hi,
Did you use bruteforce when you did the scan?
Try it again using bruteforce and give me a shout back.
If you still only get the same channels I have a file
that might sort it out for you.
Let me know.

A bruteforce scan doesn't open the channels.
sterryo wrote the other channels are only listed.
Either he didn't wait long enough for the autoupdate of the keys or there is no emu enabled in the blue button menue.

It looks like sterryo got already all channels.
They simply do not open and thats not a problem with the channel list.

looks like a bad scan or else his signal is not strong enough.
My friend had to get a booster to get all the channels.

Hey bcashion,
I'm also in Dublin. I have a 500c connected to NTL running a Gemini Image. I have newcs and evocamd loaded onto the box and running. I have scanned and retrieved all the stations available as per the pace box.
However I can't seem to decode the channels (other than the basic Irish ones RTE1, RTE2, etc. which don't appear to be encoded with the Nagra).

I had a few problems with Gemini images so
I used DW 1.6 image.
Works a treat and all channels scan with no problems.

Newcs doesn't support Nagra1 cards. If you want to use a Nagra1 card you have to install newcamd cardserver.
Upload keys and rom files to var/keys and you don't need a card.

can anybody out there help me to decode pictures on ntl dublin with my dreambox...where can i find dw 1.6......all my stations are highlighted with the letter n ......any help would be gratefully appreciated
