ok???? man do you like suffer from multiple personality disorder or something? every thread i start or get in on, you go off topic. i can see an honest mistake here and there, but this is getting a bit silly. the admins are pissed enough about all the off topic posting lately, whats the deal dude?

Ye you're right Darthnip, its hard to actually ask a real question or keep a real topic going if even one person says something off topic, then more ppl come along and go off topic and it ruins the thread!

Yep it is like my male to female ratio thread I started.
Okay so maybe that was a lame thread, whatever. The point is I started it and thought well, people will just come in and say hey I am male or I am a female or am still trying to find out. Maybe add a few side comments about being that gender and then off you go. People want to know if Oriphus is a girl or not can know by going to the male femal ratio. Kinda of a reference tool like most of the threads on this forum should be.
Whatever, but what happens is new topics come out like DVD topics about burning, topics about new software to use for burning and then people start arguing over which software is better and all this who shot John stuff.
That's literally why I post like one time on a thread, maybe up to three times, but after that the thread usually is gone to a new topic, and I don't have time to keep checking my email on software problems when the thread turns from a software topic to people arguing over what color the smurfs were.
So as soon as it goes that direction I hit the little remove email reminder from thread option and move the hell to a fresh untainted unadulterated thread. And let me tell you that is always a refreshing site.
I think I could even deal with people saying whatever off the topic comment but closing with something that is back on the topic in their replies.
That way when someone goes to the how old you are topic or female/male ratio topic or any other topic, they don't have to feel weird about saying I am sally and I am twenty two after a bunch of posts that are talking about how great the Simpsons are.
I know Dela hates the double post thing and that is annoying but what annoys me most is this off the topic rambling on just so I can get more posts in to make myself a senior member and then a moderator and then king of afterdawn. Give me a break like any of that even matters.
What matters is we are here to post in reply to the thread topic so when people come to the thread they are like kewl and get the help they need without having to surf through everones personal problems and issues they have.
People please their are therpist for things like that. And if you have to talk about how many times you should change your underwear a day, argue about it in PM.
You should see Dela and I's PM. We worked the shit out over other topics and probably have the record for PM length.
In Summary, if you don't have anything on the topic, don't post it! Your friends will love you for it and so will I.
Yeah I know I should have started a thread on this, but tomorrow I would wake up and see people writing on the post about JFK's affair with Marilyn Monroe and I figured since this post already screwed up with off the topic mess, screw it just make my point here.
With that being said let me just close by saying, I miss my buddy Praetor, he is such a kewl guy. I have lost that other guy with the letter "P" at the beginning of his name. Kinda like the letter "D" in Dela and Darth. Now I go on and see my partner in crime is no longer there... No more little Praetor and no more little eeeeeeekkkkk no more littl WB Phantom...
Praetor my little buddy, Pal, friend, I miss you man... I will be joining you soon in the ranks of insane schedules!!

If this was directed at me, the thread isnt on any sort of topic!!!! It went from its original topic, to med-school, to running for office, to problems with DSL, to me stating that a new internet system will be available, etc.....

yeah i know man, thats my point exactly. this thread started with a topic. it started as a thread where people can come and say nice stuff about each other, since i started the sh*tlist thread, i figured this would be good too, but now the sh*tlist thread is closed for going off topic, and the admins were watching it for a while before it got closed. it was started as a way for us to vent on each other, then we got torambling on about ferrari's an d all kinds of other stuff. it just seems like our structure is breaking down lately, i think thats why everyone is on the "stay on topic" warpath. it just makes it difficult for the newbies trying to find info and stuff, yeah WE know how to get around and find what we want, but imagine being a newbie and looking on a thread that starts one way and goes off to 40 different things. i'd probably be turned off to this forum if i was a newbie. but then again, this is all just my opinion, and i could be wrong or overreacting or whatever. hell anyone who knows me knows that i'm a real easy to get along with kinda guy ;) sooooo, 'sniff sniff' i love you guys :)

Go Go dumplings!!! And I can say something nice and honest about the RIAA. We will crush and trash them! THEY WILL BE DESTROYED!!! And, thank you everyone, for creating this atmosphere that no-one else can create. It's the aD atmosphere. Dela + Orphius of course is the leader of the aD pack, but I want to thank EVERYONE!
