problem with crackdown

I tryed to open ssmerger and sais failed to intialize properly (0xc0000135) what does this mean? Is there a dif program besides ssmerger that i can use

I am 99.9% certain it froze. I waited up to an hour one time to see if it was just taking a while, click the mouse anywhere on my computer and it pops up saying the program is not responding.
For the options I had checked in the ss merger I had:
Add video partition
pad with blank
apply imgburn COBRAMB1 fix
apply xbox360 Disk Lable (IMGBurn fix 2)
Options left unchecked:
Create a NME Compatible ISO
Insert ISO
Iso file, SS File, PFI, and DMI were all ripped from XBC 3.2 and added into this program as it says to. Click on merge and create layer break button and it freezes. Have downloaded the program 3 times now thinking I got a bad one but it has been the same every time.

hmmm all seems right with what you have checked and unchecked. what OS are you running XP or Vista?

Woot fixed it, needed to reinstall .net framwork 2, as it was erroring out on me. Reinstalled that and repaired it and it worked like a charm! WOOT!

Hey guys mine is freezing as well and I tried updating netframework - you say above to have the add video file checked - i thought in prevouos post by wabashman that that was left unchecked? If i do it that way ssmerger takes no time to merge the file? I seem to be the only one who cant get this working!

if you do everything that wabashman said before then it will work..i did step by step as he said and it workz fine..if its not workin for you and you did step by step then maybe its ur media your using..maybe software i dunno but i does work as he put it

Hey all after following wabashmans directions I have been able to backup all of the new 360 games labeled XGD2DVD_NTSC. The only problem I have come across is on Crackdown the menus run really really slow as if the machine is lagging. The videos and game run perfectly its just the menus. Has anyone else had this problem

Thanks everyone it looks like it finallly worked for me - for some reason I had to keep refreshing the file while ssmerger was working?
But the bottom line is it worked!!!!! Thanks to everyone who helped.

SO crackdown makes you do an update for this to wwork - does it ever worry anyone that these updates could prevent the mods to work - i mean its a hard update coming from a disk and not live?

Backup in the tut you gave the link for it says to use schtrom to extract the video.iso what is that for I did not do that step and it worked fine for me all three times I tried
Does anybody know about the slow menu thing or is it just me

When I play the game the menus run really slow on the backup, like the 360 is having trouble processing all the info. It is difficult to select which game style I want and which character I want. Once you get passed it the loads are normal and the gameplay is fine its just the menus and just on the backup.

honestly i dont know the guide was done by sosotiit ,i just beefed it up a bit with some images with his permission but it works ..
and so does your method .. :) i will give it a try shortly

Its more of an inconvenience than anything really I guess I will have to deal with it until I can find someone else that can recreate the same issue

Ok so I tried doing it the way wabashman said. Dumped the current partition by unlocking the drive. Then get the SS file aswell as the other ones. Then I proceded to ss merger 1.7b where I loaded up all the files. Unchecked the video thing and cchecked pad with blank. Got my .dvd file instantly so I went into imgburn. Burned the file at 2.4x and everything went accordingly until I put the game into my xbox where it comes up as unplayable disk. Did I do something wrong?

Mine loads very slow as well. Seems like it takes quite a bit longer. I burned on Verb at 2.4x. Followed all the steps.

Actually leave the video thing checked but then also check the pad with zeros. It should take at least 5-20 minutes - if it owkrs instantly then that is not correct. I had this same issue. If you read back on this topic a page you will seee I had the same question.
