ummm....NO -you have to wait until the downgrader for 3.11 comes out..until then,you are stuck...sorry

right folks, i'm also a noob to this psp stuff and am slightly confused!
I have fw 3.71, I have one of my backed up games in cso format in the ISO folder in the root of the memory stick, how do I play it? because I can't see it in the home screen under game, oh and I tried to get into the restore menu using the r button at restart, couldn't do that either.
please help, if I need software etc... please link.

Wow-old thread....Ok to answer your question(s) The reason you cannot play a backed up game or access the recovery console is because you are running official Sony firmware 3.71 which does not allow that...You will need to find someone either that has a pandora battery, that can downgrade your psp-or someone that has a psp that is already capable of running homebrew to make you a battery...That is your only option-there is no other way to downgrade your psp at this time which in turn will allow you to play your backed up games...Refer to the thread found HERE for more information....

hi, i am having a problem with my psp it on a 1.5 FW and i have the umd emulator as i load that it comes up ok but when i select the game it psp turns it self off...:( can ne1 help me plss

iv tried doing like you said and it did not work. im using 3.40 so i made an iso file like you said and put my iso's in the file but when it comes to finding them to play they are not there plz can you help

The reason it doesnt work is because you are using official sony firmware 3.40-
You need to downgrade to 1.50 firmware, then install a custom firmware such as 3.71M33-2 in order to play iso's...
Your downgrade options are as follows:
Find someone in your area with a Pandora battery/memory stick to downgrade for you-
Or,
Find the UMD game Lumines puzzle fusion-(the first one)and then update your firmware to official 3.50, and use the downgrader software found on pspupdates.qj.net

HERE is the guide you want to use.
scroll down to "-3.10 - 3.50 Any Motherboard" and then click 'show' there are links to the files you need, as well as detailed instructions..

can any1 help iv tried to downgarde to 1.50 but it will not let me. Iv done every thing it tells you to do but it says the file is curropet and will not do anything also i cant download the file 1.50 update that the site tells you to use please help.

Try getting the 1.50 update from psp-hacks.com in the downloads section under official sony firmware, and run that again.

In order to update to 3.71M33-2, you need to first update your fw to 3.52M33-4..Once you do that, post back and I will explain how to get your iso's running-

its taken me most of the night now but iv got 3.71 m33-2 on my psp now but no matter what i do i cannot get any of the iso's iv got, to work on it what have/im i doing wrong.

Where are you putting your games? (Give us the directory, not just the folder) And what format are they in?

they are iso and also cso. and im putting them in psproot/iso file but iv tried to put them in an iso file in the msroot as well.

it comes up with unable to start game and then there's an erro code, also it sometimes will not even read the game is there.

are you sure that the iso dosnt have any files missing also how many diffrent iso's have you tryed
iso or cso same this cso is just a compressed iso

iv tried loads and its like it with them all. and to my knowing all the files are there iv got most of them from off the internet i.e deminiod .com and other place's like that. iv never had any problems with anything else that iv got from there.
every one tells you to update to a firmware thats not the offical sony one so that you can play iso/ and cso's but up to now for me its been the biggest wast of time iv ever done due to the fact that i still cant play any of the games that i have in iso and cso form. can any1 tell me what i need to do now then.
