I've tried clicking on both the theatrical and the unrated and get the blue bar on both.
I will have to try the VOB BLanker. I just never know what to blank and what not to.

You want to Blank everything EXCEPT VTS_02 (Title Set).
to do this, you can RIGHT-Click on each Title Set besides VTS_02, so highlight VTS_01 and right-click and select blank.
Also make sure that you select VTS_02 and hit the PROC. ALL button so it says Process under the ACTION tab.
then make a output folder and burn that folder when done, simple as that.

Thanks for everyone's help I am going to give it a try. Hmm I was burning the menus. So the first step I need to do is the Vob Blanker then I can use another program to burn it? I appreciate it. I really thought I was never going to get this to work :) You guys are great!!!

you can keep the menu and deleted scenes. In fact I was able to keep English subtitles and still have no problems, that said... seeing everyone else is having success without subtitles I'd try without English Subtitles and see where that gets you.

After you rip the dvd to your HDD, then use VObBlanker like i said above, then burn the folder created by VObblanker with your favorite burning program

Use dvdfab+vobblanker+nero7 ultra.
1. Basically only rip the main movie with dvdfab, select the file at the top labeled 35 142:02:52 (this is the unrated version), blank all 3 subtitles, process.
2. I ran it through vob blanker, not sure if it?s necessary because I didn't see any discontinuity flags.
(The final file size is small enough to fit on a DVD 5 with no compression)
3. Then I used Nero 7 (retail) if you don't have that then most any other burning program should work fine. That?s it, there's other methods of backing up this movie, i'm sure there's a way to keep the extras but not worth the headaches in my opinion.
(Note: to all those who burned the unrated version but forgot to blank the subtitles. there should be an in movie menu/subtitle button on your remote select English 3 and those annoying blue subtitle pop-up's should disappear.)

I am getting an entirely different problem. No blue bar and the movie backs up flawlessy, using Anydvd and Nero, but the movie freezes in certain scenes during playback, and I have to close out and restart my player, (PowerDVD 7.0.. It even does this when I play from the original disk! This has Never happened to me before. I even went to Blockbuster, got a new disk, and - the same thing is happening! WTF...

You know, I think it has to do with those popups you guys are reporting. Apparently either my popup-stoppers (I have two), or my firewall (ZoneAlarm Pro), or my two antivirus progs (TrendMicro Antivirus and AVG Antivirus) are interacting with them and freezing the movie when they pop up, which is keeping me from ever seeing them, even though they are causing all this mischeif. So I used the "burn main movie only" feature in Nero, and now I can watch the movie. I still cannot watch it from the original Blockbuster disc though. I hope this is not the beginning of some new trend, 'cause it is not a good one. When will they learn that we do not want all that "interactive experience" nonsense?

I used my usual method for this movie, DVDFab HD Decrypter (version 3.1.5.0 ie latest version) to rip the movie (movie only mode); though i didn't need to use DVD Shrink or DVD-Rebuilder as the files were well under 4GB anyway ie didn't need shrinking.
Didn't have any problems with any banner or popups or anything so it would appear that movie only doesn't suffer from this problem..

what does the moive have so many subtitles. In shrinkit under subpictures it has 3 english subpictures - 2 11MB and 1 6MB what are they all for could one be for actual subtitles and the on for the blue popup.
Also is there any way to rip the disc with out cutting out the subtitles.
