Well, the sms_def.mof is a key in your registry. I personally don't recommend messing with anything in the registry. If you do decide to do so, the best way to do it is to have a good registry backup. If you want to search for the key to make changes I would suggest that you download this program. It is free and makes a complete backup of the registry. If you make a mistake you can run the program and it will replace the registry for you.

Be sure to read up on how to use it in case you do need it sometime.

Pathfinder was not a hard movie to do. AnyDVD6169 with NeroRecode did the movie with 69% compression.

Why don't you help me out with the thread above? He is in DMA mode and still getting coasters. Do you have any suggestions?

@syxguns

Hell I can't even figure out what his problem is!! Since you say he's in DMA mode that's good. Maybe a system restore to before problem started. Or uninstall burner in device manager and reboot so it installs fresh again. The site he sent us to, is all Greek to me. I don't touch registry ever and couldn't run a DOS program if my life depended on it. I learned with Windows 95. Someone will come along and solve the problem, but I'm not that someone. Good seeing you again tho.

The strange thing is that his DMA is on, but it did not show to be on in his Nero log. I was hoping that he would post a fresh log. You may be correct in the fact that an un-install and re-install may solve the problem. I'm good at troubleshooting problems, but if I do not have the machine in front of me to troubleshoot it is a little difficult:(

I haven't been posting much lately. From time to time when I have a little free time I will see what is going on. It's always nice to see familiar members!
