The difference is you have the universal unbricker (DCv3) where you can upgrade fat and slim psp's to 3.71M33-2, as well as having the original pandora (v1) to downgrade fat psp's to 1.50-It also has the ability to directly install 3.52M33-4 with no need to downgrade to 1.50 beforehand....And this can all be done from one memory stick.

thknxsx deez nutz.can i do it on my 2gig??

Cheers guys
If this setup is confirmed to be working on your fat psp-then it will work on slims also..Mine does-

Firmware on the slim doesnt matter-I have used this starting from both 3.60, and 3.71-and it works fine..

Something you can try to make it work for you->
-1>Remove the slim battery.
-2>Insert your UPMS Memory Stick.
-3>Turn Hold switch to on.
-4>Hold Left Trigger.
-5>Insert JigKick battery and keep holding Left Trigger until Slim turns off.
-Remove Battery then proceed from step 4.
You will see on screen: Loading Despertar Cementerio V3.

IMPORTANT:
Once the menu has loaded press [ ] to back up the Slims Nand.
Don't forget to turn Hold switch off, but be gentle otherwise you could power off the PSP and have to do from step 3 again.
Then press X to install 371M33-2.

@luffypsp-it will work on any memory stick pro duo except the 32MB, and its not recommended for use on a 4GB either.-So it will work fine with your 2GB-

I try the CFW launcher, but it says it can cause a "bricky brick".

Can I just add the 3.52M33 files onto my PSP so I can flash my PSP to 3.52M33?If I can, then please tell me how. Thanks.

The files are already in there-you just need to set it up first..I have updated it in the original post because it doesnt automatically do this for you when you install the UPMS-

Heres what you need to do:
-Boot into Ultimate loader
-Select Hellcat menu
-scroll to 'Launch CFW Installer'
-press 'O' to choose your path
-you will want to scroll to '352UPDATE' from the drop down menu, and select it using the X button
-it should now say "new path saved"
-Now when you select 'Launch CFW Installer', just press X, and it will take you to the 3.52M33 installer after doing the preparations (on the brown screen)
-This will install 3.52M33 (first release), you will need to run the M33-4 update from the XMB when you are done.

Are there any other firmwares it can take you to? (3.40 Eboot is in there so can it go to 3.40 OE-A?)

^^ The 3.40 eboot that is in the root of the UPMS is an official updater-Its used for installing 3.71M33-2 to the slim psp.

Although I imagine you could drop in a 3.40OE-A update folder into the GAME folder, and select it from the Hellcat menu instead of setting your path to the '352UPDATE' folder...The only problem I can think of is that you would need to first downgrade to 1.50 with pandora v1 before you could run the 3.40OE updater...It wouldn't have the capability of doing it automatically like it does when you run the '352UPDATE' (if that makes sense at all??) The 352UPDATE folder is already setup so it first downgrades, your psp to 1.50, then runs the kxploit patch, (this is what is going on behind the scenes when the brown screen appears)and then it presents the menu to upgrade to 3.52M33...And this particular setup can be run on any fat psp regardless of what state or firmware version the psp is in.

Another option (and this is what I was running prior to using this setup) is just have your various update eboots and patches, etc go into the GAME folder, and run them from the XMB...Granted each step has to be done manually, but it does work....I had original pandora(v1) and then I had the folders for the 3.40OE-a update, the kxploit patch along with the 3.52M33 w/M33-4 update, and then the 3.71M33 updater with the M33-2, and 1.50 kernel patch

Yes, that brown screen you are seeing is normal. The "bricky-brick" it just a warning like on any other menu you use to downgrade-What it does is downgrades your psp to 1.50, then adds the kxploit patch, then when thats done the black screen will appear telling you that you are about to update to 3.52M33-If you have ever updated your psp to 3.52M33 before, then you know how that process works-Its just been streamlined so you dont have to do the steps manually (ie: downgrade to 1.50,apply the kxploit patch)-Just remember to run the M33-4 update from the psp's XMB when you are done. It doesnt apply patches or updates automatically...The same goes for 3.71M33-2, you would have to apply the 1.50 kernel patch manually from the XMB as well (for fat psp's only)

Hi, I've been having an issue with the 3.71 M33 update so far. Everytime I launch it after creating my PUMS, I can't launch any 1.50 homebrew, like the Filer. I've gone in and made sure I install the 1.5 add on during the installation, tried switching to 1.5 homebrew in recovery, and nothing works. Is there something I'm missing for getting 1.50 homebrew to work in the 3.71 M33 firmware? Thanks

This is on a fat PSP correct? Slims are not capable of running 1.50 homebrew...

Could you outline the steps you took so myself or someone else can better assist you?

You are saying you created the UPMS and installed 3.71M33-2 with the 1.50 kernel patch to your psp using the DCv3 option? And if thats the case, which homebrew app are you having troubles with-It may just be a matter of moving the homebrew folder(s) to one of the other GAME folders to get it to work..

This is on a pfat psp. I used the easy installer to add in everything, using trio, 3.71-2M33 by using DCv3, added in the 1.50 addon in the setup, added in filer, tried from game1.5 and game folders, and tried using recovery to put psp in 1.5 and 3.71 homebrew folders, neither worked. Got it working with 3.52, but would like to jump to 3.71. The one part I am unsure of is that I install 3.71M33 from DCv3 after adding in the addon during the PUMS install. Do I need to do anything else after that?

Thanks for the assistance

Ok I think I know what you mean now-

You installed 3.71M33-2 via DCv3 so your psp is currently running that firmware, correct? To apply the 1.50 kernel patch go to the GAME icon in your psp's XMB (menu) with your UPMS inserted and click the 1.50-2 (PSP Update Ver.1.50) icon and you should be good to go.

If you installed the 1.50 add-on when you made your memory stick using the installer, it should be in the menu. Its the same for 3.52M33, you have to run the M33-4 update from your psp's menu after upgrading..It doesnt apply patches automatically. Not yet anyway...

Alright, I set up the PUMS up as I'm supposed to. Did the Multi-IPL got the Ultimate loader and I have a pandora battery my brother bought off ebay and used for himself already. Now, when I put the PUMS in and hold the L trigger and put the battery in it goes to the xmp anyway. Before, when I tried the single boot IPL with the hellcat, it didn't go to the xmp but the screen stayed black. So I don't kn ow what to do, can someone help me out? If it makes any difference, I made the PUMS with a slim psp.

Is there a way to load this ultimate menu load without holding the L button?

The standard ipl is supposed to load up without holding L.
I tried (in the cso file thing) to install the standard ipl, but after installing it, (with the pandora battery), the psp would just boot up normally into the XMB no matter what.

The holding L method with booster's ipl works for me though.

I would like it to just load up into the Ultimate Loader (trio) without holding L. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have not tried making the memory stick using a slim psp-At least not with the cso installer-If you go to the release thread page, it has the instructions for creating it manually from a slim psp...I dont think the installer works from a slim..

The standard IPL loads without holding "L"-however thats if you are just using either pandora v1 or DCv3 by itself...Then it works fine-But if you are installing a duo or trio or any type of extended menu such as the JOKER, or HELLCAT, that requires using boosters multi-IPL which also unfortunately requires you to hold the "L" trigger when booting the psp..I know its kind of a pain, but it is what it is...

It's suppose to... For the firmware files, you must download yourself as the OFW's are copyright infringement.
