LOL, that was funny.

On a side note to waht Caliph said ive been following the UT forum as well. Notice how the mods closed all threads concerning the split screen problem. There was a thread that was 30 pages long full of pissed off consumers that they closed down. I bought a 12 month subscription to Xbox live for my little sister for christmas with the money i put down on UT3 today. I don't see Epic doing anything...

yeah i guess its a waiting game now. im still willing to buy it if they patch it with split-screen, but if they dont or if they take too long, then im putting my dough down for haze.personally, i think although they did promise to put it in the game, i think sony had rushed them in delivering the gme before years end. epic was saying they were looking for an early 08 release but perhaps sony pressured them in hurrying up the game so they had to neglect the split-screen b/c it was to time-consuming. just my two cents.

Your right i just went to there forums & people there are really PO about this but im sure Epic knows & will fix this but the answer is When ?

I dont really have people that play with me except my girl.. I love this game.. Yeah split screen would be nice, but I like my full view... But hey just like with any good game comes updates and so forth... Give it time and a chance.. Hell it was released early..

I'm confused, did any of you get the PS3 when it first came out? If so then you are all to familiar with false statments about updates containing split-screen. Motor Storm had a bunch of pissed of buys for its initial release as well. They said if enough people wanted split-screen then they would put it in an update. Trust me people complained but to my knowledge no spilt-screen update ever made it. The only update similar that was freely avalible was ghost mode. This is in no way the same to split-screen.

Maybe I am so hooked on the idea of split-screen because when the PS3 came out I bought it along with a 720p native projector. I have about a 7 foot diaganal screen and you really don't even realize your playing split screen. Before getting a plasma screen for $3000 you should think about a projector, I got mine for 1400 and its 720p NATIVE.

I would wait on buying the game until the promise of an update becomes more than just a promise. If anythig they will probably make a download for it and try to sell it for 19.95. Thats if they even work on a spit-screen feature for UT III. They might even save that feature for UT 4 so you will go out and buy it when it is released. I am still wondering if I'll see a Motor Storm 2 comming out in the future that has split-screen. Damn Marketing!
