I backed up a perfect copy of Rescue Dawn - See up a few posts on this same thread. Are you using latest version of DVD Fab and what part of the process is stopping you ?

Whether you think you can or you think you cant - either way youre right

I am using the latest version of dvdfab, no matter what I do with it I get to 17% of the disc and will stop copying. I have a region 4 copy mabye I have come across a bad batch. It has happened in the past but with 2 copies of the same movie it seems kinda weird.

I have tried both. Ripit4me had the best luck, I got it to rip the movie but when doing the first check it says possible dirt/scratch on disc and it tries to rip the file again and fails at 70%. I am either not going to bother or lose 1 chapter of the dvd because I cant think of anything else to try.

The only times DVD Fab failed for me was on a scratched disc and all I did was get another disc and then worked fine - but you said this was on 2 discs ? There are some options in DVD Fab that I have never had to use but may help. I think you can tell it to ignore read errors and there is a pathplayer option. Maybe something to try. I do know DVD Fab will do Rescue Dawn - it worked for me. Have you done any other movies - to rule put a problem with DVD drive or computer ?

There has only been one other movie i could not figure out how to backup and it was Feast. It did the exact same thing too. But having 2 copies of the same movie has really got me stuffed. I could try ignoring read errors but I think I will still lose that chapter anyway. I updated the latest firmware yesterday so I ruled that out too. I will give your tips a go anyway. Thanks Crab56
