I'm currently using 3.90 M33-3. I sadly couldn't find my old discs so I found some eboots of each disc online. That could be the problem but if I find it somewhere I'll probably buy it.
yeah as i have said in the recent question if you are in 3.80 m33 or 3.90 m33 and you've got the glitches in the battles all you have to do is get a popsloader plugins and install it and presto you've got your FF working flawless and fine...hehe
good luck

Hi guys, I'm running 3.52m33-4 and have FF7. It runs OK for a while, then after a battle the text and some parts of the display will corrupt so I can't read them. Obviously in this game that's a real problem! If I reset the game it works OK for a while then corrupts again.
Will using popsloader help with this? I would love to be able to play this game without any issues.
thanks

Solved. It's because I had the disc-load speed set to fast. Changed it to normal and it works fine now :D
Amazing game!!! Can't wait to play Crisis Core after this.

your save in the disc one doesn't run in disc two? have you tried it a couple of times? if that doesn't help maybe i suggest upgrade your fw then try the multidisc eboot

I have 3.71 M33-4 custom firmware on my fat PSP. I ripped FFVII from my own disks using Autopopstation4 and Simple Popstation GUI 2 beta to rip and convert the data (I'm a bit unclear on some of the terms, but I followed the exact instructions given to me by a very helpful person on another thread, who had used it for other multi-disk games, but not FFVII. They said they were not sure how to help me on this. The order I gave the programs in is the order I used them, the first to rip it from the disk, the second to convert it.). Everything appeared to work fine, until I got to the cut sceen where the top plate comes down. At the spot where you see the Shinra president looking through the window, the game freezes. It always freezes in that exact spot, and I have never had any other problems. Does anyone know what is wrong, or how to fix this? I would appreciate very, very detailed instructions if you can help me. Thank you.

hI, I got the game but its for PC.
I always want to play this
on a portable device.
so I download from net for psp.
after download, I unpack the rar. compress files back
to ISO, use Simple Popstation GUI 3.00 beta to change to eboots and
transfer to psp 'Game' folder.
I did not change game ID or anything.
I'm using 380m33popsloader_v2 in my psp.
PSP CF -> 3.90 m33
but the game just hang and crash on the first fight.
I only got 3 image files, am I missing any other files?
Thanks.

sorry didnt explain clearly,
i got 3 rar files, open and got 2 files each. a data and a mode file.
afterwhich i used a program included called cosi compression to change the data file to image file.
if i just put the image into psp, nothing comes out.
so i use 3.00beta convert it to eboots.
load into psp 'Game' folder. game can launch, but crash at 1st fight.
using popsloader 3.80 in my psp. running at 3.90m33.
Thank you.

Hey everyone, I'm also suffering from some problems with trying to run FFVII on my PSP :(
I used Acidy's guide on how to get Popsloader installed and working on my PSP, and I'm quite sure that I did everything correctly (I've even installed it several times to try and fix the problem)
Basically, I have cfw 3.90mm and so I downloaded the Popsloader for 3.80mm. I also downloaded the complete Pops batch files and I placed it in the correct folder on my PSP (this batch file was linked in Acidy's guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/628073)
I have FFVII Eboot on my memory stick, and it shows up in the GAME section of my PSP. I start it up and the Popsloader menu comes up, but every single version that I try doesn't work. I tried 3.71 and 3.72 repeatedly (since everyone says it works) but with 3.72 all I get is a black screen, and after a few seconds my PSP just shuts off. With the 3.71 one, it only loads up to the PS1 logo and then it freezes :( The only "version" that works is the flash one, but then that glitches all crazy-like during the first battle. :'(
As I said before, I'm quite sure that everything's in the right spot, I've tried installing Popsloader several times over and over again...but it's all to no avail :( Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! ^^
p.s. I posted the same question in Acidy's guide, but I thought it wouldn't be too bad of an idea if I also posted it here ^^

you've to load the program dumper in psp to get the files required for popsloader, where you can delete the dumper after that. and load the popsloader with the files (eboots and some other, rename with the firmware u put with). depending on the eboots firmware u choose or all firmware if you want, u can only then load those version you want (3.71, 3.72 etc.)

Anyone else having problems with the file: [PSX]Final Fantasy 7 - Team$$?
The first disk works pefectly fine, as it's the only one the extracts fully. I've tried extracting the other two files but it says it's corrupt (wrong password). I've used the password: psp.stm-gaming.com and apparently that's the one that is supposed to extract the files.
Anyone find a solution to this?

Sort've FFvII only works on 3.71 Fw.Look into popsloader, what that does is allow you to use the older versions of the bulit in PSX emulator.
