Hey everyone, is irc really that easy and reliable for finding files? Shareaza is what i use now. Would you reccomend me using irc with that much downloading bandwith with my pc- sony vaio (original) PII 400, 192 meg ram (max 256), 10 gig hd, 8 vram integrated matrox graphics:( I'm broke.
you can use IRC with an old 386 if needed, system specs dont really mean anything on irc, it's been around long before windows and has hasn't changed much at all.
IRC doesnt really care what your system specs are. mIRC needs to have certain hardware/software to run but you already have the software you need cause you can get online as it is. a 10 gb HDD is abit small for dling to but it'll work.
as for finding files etc on IRC, again it depends on where you look and how much effort you are willing to put into finding those hard to find files. sure bittorrent, Kazaa etc are point and click easy to use over the having to use old DOS like commands in IRC but in the end it pays off ;P
Does anyone know a good channel for dual audio anime- (lately alot of groups are doing dual audio thanks to ogg video). cause i want to download some anime before i buy it- so i know if its any good (seriously i will buy what i like) cause rental stores only have EXTREMELY popular animes and i want to be able to preview rare and popular anime before i go and shell out $80 per series online!
