yea but in a newsgroups defense, you have to pay money to rent the game, which 1 game costs almost as much as one month with a newsgroup. i have downloaded 1 bad game. wasted 1 cd. i get games any where from weeks to months in advance before they release. and 360 content isnt the only thing you get with newsgroups. the possibilitys are endless. so if you know what you are doing, personally i think news groups are the best and only way to go.

I'm not saying newsgroups are bad homesick,but in the situation Fitwizle is in I wouldn't even attempt it.Its not that bad renting games,for the monthly payments for newsgroups I can get a blockbuster game pass and rent as much as I want.Its just another method that is safer for him,but if his ISP is contacting him about it and watching him I'm sure they could find a way to screw him over.In my honest oppinion just use a safe method like backing them up yourself its an easy solution to fix the problem your having with your ISP provider.

the only this illegal is uploading. downloading is completely safe. what you do with the product afterwards is not though. i would be scared if i was him sure. but i would sweat it. its just a slap on the wrist. and like i said the groups are safe. some providors dont even let you upload to them for that reason. i guess it just depends on what you prefer. l-burna i agree with you though, they are both equal in effectiveness and price now that you pointed that out. i guess you just have to think do i want to do the work myself, be safe, and not get games before their release, or do i want to download them hope i am safe, and get them before their release. although l-burna proves a solid point i would still stand by my decision personally. but the choice is totally up to you man. from a personal stand point i have been using news groups for about6 years now with never a notice like that from my isp. i use time warner cable. hope this helps
