Where can I find Slayers EvoX auto installer v.2.1 or 2.5

slayers does install the evox dah and other various apps it also has a chip flashing option, but when you first get your chip your xbox won't even be able to read the slayer's disc. You'll have to download the latest bios (xecuter 4981) and flash the chip. then your xbox will be able to read the info on the slayer's disc and install evox and etc....

Thanks Daskins!
Another question - I dloaded the autoinstaller, and I can't get the pdf instruction files to load up.. Adobe acrobat gives me error. Dloaded it 2x.. Any suggestions? Thanks.

you'll have to update you adobe to the newer version, this happened to me aswell then i had no probs when i updated.

Thanks again Daskins! It worked!
So I plan to get the Xecuter 2.3b lite plus. I heard that just using the Slayer disc will install the bios for me, and that I dont need to install a bios before the Slayer autoinstall. True or false?
Also, can you lead me in the right direction to get the latest xecuter bios 4981? I've been scouring google for the past hour with no success.

i already answered that already!..lol
no you need to load the bios because if you don't your xbox won;t even be able to read the DISC. you need to put on the bios then your box can read backups and media with unsigned code

Daskins - I know you answered my question above, but I was asking again, specifically for that particular mod chip.. Someone on these forums says you can just use slayers. But anyhow thank you very much for your help. Can you lead me in the right direction for finding 4981 bios?

i have the same chip as you. and for the bios and stuff you should go onto #xbins of efnet on IRC. if you don't know what that is PM me and i'll hel your find te stuff you need.

Xbox Mod Plan
1. Open XBox - need Torx 10 and Torx 20 screwdrivers (see step 2).
2. Install mod chip - Xecuter 2.3b lite plus. Instructions at: http://www.teamxecuter.com/x23b_liteplus_method.htm
3. Flash Xecuter 4981 bios - instructions on flashing and burning bios onto cd-rw (or dvd-/+rw) here: http://www.teamxecuter.com/biosimage.htm
***I'm still confused as to WHAT SIZE my bios needs to be for Xecuter 2.3b lite Plus. 512kb, 256kb?
***Does the "Dummy" file have to have a particular file name, rather than "Dummy.BIN"? Forum users have said that you should start the dummy file name "0"or "a".. Any comments?
4.Install Slayer's EvoX Autoinstaller 2.5. Instructions in PDF from Slayer.
***Question regarding the "Rebuild New Large HD on v1.x system option." There are two options - 3-1, and 3-2. I don't understand the difference! Which should I do and why?

no your xbox won't be able to read the disc if it has not been previously flashed
evrythig on your list is exactly what u need to do. as for the bios size the 2.3b lite+ come with i meg for bios flahing which means that you can flash your chip twice with a 512k bios file. so 512k would be the size to flash with. you can't flash a 256k file on this chip.
as for the hard drive will you already have it wen modding your box?
i just i didn't so i just installed the apps in my stock drive, DO NOT FORMAT YOUR STOCK DRIVE! it will delete all your saved games. choose the option that doesn't format you your stock hard drive. I din't have the slayer's PDF files on my com any more if u need more help reply and i'll get the pdf files again so i can help u more.

Daskins,
Yes, I plan to use my a upgrade 120GB hard drive right after I flash the machine.
I plan to leave my retail hard drive untouched because I'm afraid I'll screw it all up.
So I need to know which option to use for "Rebuild New Large HD on v1.x system option."
There are two options - 3-1, and 3-2, and I still don't understand the difference. I would very much appreciate it if you could get the PDF files again.

Oh yeah i chose this optuion when i upgraded:
3-2) Rebuild v1.X Large HD ? *F*
theres not really any difference to either but this options installs all the apps in the F partition.

Daskins,
What tool do you recommend for extracting xbox ISOs? There seem to be a lot out there.
Also, do you know of a way to create an xbox ISO from an xbox DVD using JUST your PC (not reading off the xbox)?

do u even have your chip yet? if not don't worry about all that right now wait till you have it and then wqorry about ti. it's better to be focused on one thig at a time.
well there is no way of just putting a xbox DVD right into your PC and just copy it you HAVE to hook up your box to your comp and FTP the files over to your PC. when u have it on your pc run the files through craxtion and then burn as an iso image.
