Quick question - does it matter what bank I have the switch on before I flash bios?

no not really but set it to bank one and unpritected. be sure to use a 512k file not a 1mb bios file.

Ok. I think I flashed it. When I connect to tv, and start the xbox, I get "ooops, something must be wrong?" messsage. Error number 16 -Dashboard file/settings incorrect. I HAVE installed my 120gb hd.

I assume this is normal so far?

yes. And Slayer's autoinstaller loads up fine.

Another question - do I need to do option 2 on slayers - to the Save BIOS/EEPROM on the C: of my xbox? Do I need to do this even if I am installing the new 120 gn hd?

Thanks,

D.

nah your suppose to flash your chip with your stock drive in your box. but if everything loads up find in slayers choose

3-2 the one that says (F) it has to format your new drive.

you don't need to do the eeprom but it's always godd to back that stuff up but you'l need your stock drive in the box to do so.

After doing option 3-2 on slayer's, My xbox now loads up with MS dash (mod enabled, no cd in tray).

With 3-1, it will load with exox dash... Comments?

does not help. I still get ms dash. Should I give up and just do 3-1? Any other ideas?

Thanks!

the only reason i see this happening is if the xbox is disconnected for a long time, but thats the only reason i can think of.
