Hi I also have a Box, and it was working fine up until Chrsitmas, but since January its no longer unscrambling the channels anyone know whats up??? I reset it and did the scan for channels all over again but when i go in to let it update it goes on a loop indefinitly...please help.
You need to post what Firmware you have on the box, presuming you have The Box super then it should be GTRom_Super_8.04e.exe which you will find in eamo's FTA Library.
Thanks Malci, sorry for my ignorance as im not very technically minded, but im not sure how to do that?? For my box version on the menu under system inforation its says: THE BOX, API ver: 4.50e_E,
Boot ver: 7.0, 5 Jul 2007.
I got it last summer and it worked fine in Dublin and now has worked fine in galway till the start of January...not sure what happened. Does 'posting Fireware' apply to my box?? how do i go about doing this??

Then that is Starview 2 The Box, it is not The Super, so you want this BIN file loading on to the box okay, and you will need a NULL MODEM lead - download this to your PC Desktop, it includes the Loader also >>>>>>>
Now when you have got that on your Desktop then click on the link marked Eurovox at the bottom of my post and you will see what lead/s you require, different box but exact same connectivity okay. Then when you have the lead/s click on the link marked Starview for a guide 2nd line at bottom of post.
(It would be very advisable for you to have access to a standalone PC with OS. XP, if it is your first time of flashing)
