Not all surprises are bad in the morning, are they?

Ever had a cat mistake your slipper for the litter box?

Honestly, i'm glad i've been checking up here, since i'm fairly new to RB but have been thrilled with the results. I did not know it could be set to burn directly with Imgburn. That is a function i may try on my next venture.

Cheers!
Or worse, mistake your cat for your slipper?

I don't know if the ImgBurn option is only available in the Pro version.
In the free version it reads "Write to Blank Disk (with Imgburn)"
And now we know. Anybody try this option yet?

There are also many settings that can improve the output such as bitrate distribution, different matrices and video segment viewer where you can change what scenes get as far as compression. With some movies you can get away with only reencoding a portion of the movie.

Have you ever tinkered with these settings?

Oh yeah.
I always use bitrate distribution. Sometimes I can get it where only 50% of the movie gets reencoded while the other 50% remains untouched. When ever possible, I use the Fox matrix but I usually do my movies with the AUTO-Q1 matrix. The steal space from extras works pretty good. The mobile option to convert to AVI works very good.

I'll have to give that a try with my next backup.

But wait a minute. I use the retail version of cce. If I can't tell the difference in the finished backup from the original, why would I want to fiddle with the default settings?

If everything looks good and plays good, leave it the way you have it.
