I went to maplin and got a null cable just in case the one I had was wrong but am getting same problems, the % stays at 0
It just does not go beyond 0%, i left it for 5 hours but same.
do you think it is a problem with the box or something else?
(and before anyone says , yes I know the fix is not out yet, if i cant do a channel dump or load the old fix in what chance have i got doing the new one)
Don't no whether you got sorted or not, but if not, then your problem is not with the cable but more to do with the Adaptor, it has to be correctly assigned to the correct COMM port or it will not even recognise your box, so have a look at this here and follow it to make sure >>>>>>.

I was just about to update my message but you beat me to it. was still having problems it just stayed at 0% and was tearing my hair out figuring out what was wrong, i had done everything stated and even made sure had right cables.
but have finally solved the problem, it was the device manager advanced settings that was wrong i was using the max speed and not 115200 so that made a big difference.
it says its updated but is there any way to check that its actually done or is only way to wait and see if it autorolls?, as checking system info says 2006 still.
unlike some i was patient and waited for the firmware update.

Well done, and yes you can check it, go to Menu 1570 into Cas System menu and press the Set Default Key and exit out to an encrypted channel and watch it update Sly Sports 1 for example, or varius others, but try that one okay.

And by the way that will say that in system info, it is a fix, in otherwise moddified firmware - nothing to worry about okay.
