You will only need to block the sensor by the reset button.
Hi! I'm new to this. I have a PS2 slim 90001 with Date code 8c. To block this sensor, do I just stuff pieces of paper in it and tape it up? If not, what is the best way to do this? Thanks for your help.

You can use tissue or sticky tack to block the sensor by the reset button, or buy the Swap Tool Pro V4 has the little tool for 9000x series.

Then you can use Swap Magic.

Thanks smokyrain! I'll try this when I get the chance. I have a couple more questions first. Will I be able to save data from the import game to my memory cards? Also, is it possible that the saved data can corrupt my memory cards? I'm just concerned that if I'm turning on the PS2 (with the cards in the slots) and playing an NTSC U/C game, the data from the import on those cards may cause errors. Sorry for the questions but like I said, I'm new to this. Thanks again!

Yes, you can save the import game saves to memory card.
No the import game save will not corrupt your memory card.
So no worries.

no problem... If you have any trouble playing the import games with swap Magic, then just make a backup of the import game using DVD Decrypter or imgburn, and then burn the ISO image with the same program.
Should work fine then.

Hi smokyrain! I need your help again. I just got Swap Magic V3.6 and Switch Pro V4. The directions online say I need tool A to cover the sensor but I can't get it to snap on to cover sensor A. There is also an adhesive at the inside of the tool. Do I need to remove that? Any suggestions? Thanks again! Well thr adhesive came off. Please let me know.

nvm, i figured it out. with no instructions you have to play with it. i also noticed that when i put the swap magic in, i had to push a small lever in the back so that the disc could spin. maybe i'll tape it back so i won't have to hold it all the time i want swap magic to spin and operate. anyway, everything is fine.

Hi , I actually picked up a V18 also, as I thought my V14 was broke.
Anyway I now have them both.
I used TOOL B for the disc brake, but noticed it would pop out at times.
I just ended up leaving lid open with a wooden toothpick in there. That works.
Yes I had to fiddle around with Tool A also to get it in right place.
