Man shot for being loud in movie theater

James Joseph Cialella of Philadelphia has been arrested after shooting a man he accused of being too loud during a screening of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
Police say family of the man continually disrupted the movie and Cialella eventually threw popcorn at the man's son before shooting the father in the arm.

gwmyers made me laugh.. but there is an assumption that the loud victim was a mofo of black origin XD *giggles*
"shot in the arm" .. not good enough.. if you are going to shoot somebody for being noisy then the mouth is the place... or at least point blank in the face. If you are going to do 9-life at least do them for something worthwhile.. like removing some trash from the gene pool.. shoot the brats, the wife and then the noisy mofo.. that's what I say.. oh.. And may as well shoot the director of this lemon of a film while you are at it. *lmao*

Finaly some Justice. This is why I download my own movies, so I dont have to shoot someone for making an @$$ out of themselves. Yeah flame me all u want, call me crazy stupid, yada yada. might as well get rid of movie thearters all alone, and straight to DVD or stream. Download a movie, save a life!

Damn girl, you just made made me laugh so hard! I concur, might as well go some good if you're gonna pay for it! Although, sometimes a bullet is a waste on some of them , if they could have the tongue removed without too much expense would be better...
Haven't seen the movie yet, but if it is that bad,I think the people that should bear the consequences are the ones that poured the dough into that flick, not just the director.

binkie beat me to it about philixir's potty mouth - let's keep the foul language in the cinema and off the forums.
One of the reasons i rarely go to the cinema is because of the tweenies, mobile phones, sweet wrappers, talking and childish giggling, back of chair kicking, endless disruptions by kids going to the toilet every 2 minutes due to drinking too much cola etc etc etc
Needless to say i enjoyed the cinema as a child, none of the above disrespectful behaviour happened then, people went to the cinema to actually watch the movies.

I don't think you're a case of "old fashion", just one of common sense. Right, you either go in and watch the movie, or don't go at all.
I went to see " Seven pounds" last week. Some kiddies were fooling around, despite their parents' efforts to keep'em quiet. I couldn't stand it after a while and I turned around, threw some popcorn at then and told them to shut up and take their feet off my chair,or I'd drag them out in the snow. They mellowed down, and the mother actually said "thank you".

Indeed, these days the cinema costs a lot of money, if you're going to go to pay to watch a movie, watch the movie. Funnily enough whenever i take my kids to the cinema, they watch the movie instead of messing about.
I remember going to the cinema as a child to see a film, admittance was 20 pence (i kid you not), and yet we still concentrated on the movie instead of ruining other peoples' enjoyment.

People who ruin the movie going experience are human garbage. This guy was scum and got what he deserves. Those charges are trumped up and way out of line in my opinion. Well, the attempted murder is at least.
Anyways, I think this is a great thing. Hopefully this is only the first of many messages:
If you are human garbage, you will be taken out with the trash. Silence is golden.
I bet that guy's son won't grow up to be a loser like his pops who tries to ruin movies for everyone in the theater. I think thats the important thing to take away from all of this.
Sadly, I think the father is going to be painted as the victim in this case. Thats the true tragedy of these events.

this is why I don't go to the Cinema anymore - so much trash eating trash - I mean good grief - the cinemas are to blame , obviously they do it to leech more money from you but who takes a bucket of pocorn, 2 litre bottle of coca cola and ice cream choc bars with crunchy boiled sweets when they go shopping ? why the hell do so many scumballs and trailer trash / council estate benefit leeching residents feel the need to do it in a movie theatre ? do we go there to watch a movie or talk and eat ? How many of them actually do it because they are really hungry or just because " oh it's a cinema - it's expected of me to eat like a pig and make noises "
why don't they just all stay at home and do what they do best in the dark - create more underclass illegitmate offspring to supplement their social security "family" payments and move to a bigger council house on the Karen Matthews Estate ?

I carry an LED keychain flashlight with me to the theater and when the preteens (and sometimes adults) start texting with their bright cell phones, or worse yet, talking out loud, they get brighted in the face. The embarrassment usually makes them stop.
I don't condone shooting the guy, but he deserved to have something happen to him.

Well, point is whoever does support this guy was not there and he is a good shot so I don't think I would need to worry. If it's your time to go, then it's your time to go. Second, you are seriously taking all these comments for the guy way too seriously. I might have agreed with the guys message (Shut up) but not the method (shooting. Third, you criticize everyone for being on his side and yet you want to "cut off his small pecker and feed it to him?" Kind of defeats your argument, doesn't it? Not during the skool holidays K.. sorry.. no.. not possible XD .. I have just spent 2 hours in the zoo.. errr sorry.. town, watching the moronic feral scum that pass for "children" these days smashing everything up and screaming abuse at everybody.. Now where is my gun before the vermin discover how to breed more vermin at 14.
Dont worry creaky.. I'm an old timer too.. when you had 2 lots of pictures in a town and a huge screen.. stereo and colour.. *gasp* compared to our grotty 17" b+w 2 channel 405 stripey tv at home that half the time you couldn't get a not rolling picture on without pops spending the first 20 minutes of the film up on the roof shouting "is that any better" and swearing like a good un. We used to go outside to see if he would fall off the roof.. and get shouted at for not watching the tv with our heads stuck out of the window "helping" him... The film was always going to be an anticlimax after a show like that. That's why we respected the flicks and loved going there to watch the films. I suppose these days when the vermin have 52" plasmas at home it's not the same novelty.. and the film is on sky next week anyway.. bah boo.. junk!

i hope barack doesnt hear about this incident. that would be more reason for him to take away our guns though. hope the shooter doesnt ruin it for the rest of the legit gun carrying public. and nah i was just being funny about the pecker part. lol.

The proper thing to do is to complain to the management. If they do nothing, demand your ticket money back. I have friends who did get their money back. If enough people do that, they will toss out the loudmouth boors rather than have to give refunds. But I have to admit, shooting the bastard would be so satisfying.

Actually I believe that they have to give you a refund or a free admission pass... I went up to the Customer Service desk one time just to let them know real quick how the little black bubbles you see occasionally were huge and didn't really go away and they gave each of us in our group 2 free passes... I should go complain more often ;-)
