You can get the auto xbins 2008 downloader. Google Auto xbins 2008. It will automatically connect you to xbins and the new JF is there.

ok thanks for that. now jungleflasher works just fine. now i don't know how to use it, or what to do with the spear i just payed $20 for.
Edit: ok when i hook my DVD drive up to the computer and power it with the xbox, iprep doesn't detect it. i tried to open it, unplug then close it halfway then plug it in again and it still doesn't detect it. what am i doing wrong?

when you mention, You need to install the PortIO32 drivers so Jungle Flasher can recognize the dvd drive.
if i install portio32 driver will this reconize my 360 drive in jungleflasher
i am having this problem i open up jungle flasher, go to dvdkey 32 tried selecting every port, under properties it says no drive detected?
i have my sata cord connected to 360 drive to via sata 6421, power cord connected with probe to ck3 and 360 drive and power source cable connected to computer to ck3 and usb connected to ck3 to computer
do i need to uninstall all the drivers for the via sata 6421 and manually reinstall PortIO32 drivers so that jungle flasher can reconize my xbox 360 drive?
but when i try to click browse to find portio32 i cant find it nowhere located on my computer? help would be appreciated

i have portio32 installed and jungleflasher still doesn't work. i have the spear and i don't even know what to do with it, i cant power it. i need help, i don't know where to put the spear to extract the key and don't know how to power it.

i also now deleted all the drivers for the sata card but when i try to install the portio32 from add hardware it reinstalls the driver for the sata card, showing a msg in the toolbar
can someone answer my other question and this to help me please?

I've read many tutorials and i got a good amount of info on how to do it. now i cant find out how to get jungleflasher to work, how to power the spear, and where to put the spear to get the key.

ok i looked through as much as i could, nothing tells me how i can power the spear, where to put the spear, how to get iprep to detect my drive, or anything else. now if you could point me in the direction of someone who knows what their talking about, that'd great

Right when Jungle Flasher starts up, there is a link that will take you directly to the proper guide to flash all the types of drives. Especially made for Lite-ON. Tutorials aren't very hard to find. As for you drive not being detected, what type of Sata chipset are you using?

i cant get Jungleflasher to start up, thats the problem. i have the via chipset, my first post has the link. and i dont have the Xtractor or whatever so i cant power it. they told me i needed the spear or probe, they didnt tell me i needed that to.

yea, you need the main piece and either the probe or spear, depends on which product you buy.

Sounds like Jungle Flasher works to me. The loading screen of Jungle Flasher, in the right hand corner, it says "User Guide". Click that and see what happens. Maybe you might find some information to help you flash the Lite-ON drive.

yea, you need the main unit, and the spear, or the main unit and the probe, depends on which version you buy. should have read the tutorials before you started i guess huh.

well here's how i did things. i looked up a lot of tutorials about flashing the lite-on drive, and some said i could use the via chip set, so i ordered that. then i found out i needed the spear for the lite-on drive, so i ordered that. now it seems i have to buy something else to power it. now my questions are...
1. What do i have to buy now?
2. Does it do anything else but power the spear?
3. Could i have done without the Via Chipset?
4. Are there any more financial surprises?

you need the via chipset, the spear or probe, and the main thing to power/communicate with the drive/computer. after that there shouldnt be any other surprises.

Navigate to C:/WINDOWS/system32/drivers and remove viamraid.sys ... just move to a place to store
