Not so fast my Rahfanclubies,
Quote: One of atleast 3 possibilites.
He had to leave in a hurry.
Hes confused about the rahstyles accusation
or he truly is rahstyles, and may be off to create yet another screen name
Possibility #4,
He's not Rahstyles, but knows who is is, and has decided that if people mistake him for Rahstyles then his/her life is no longer worth living and has thrown himself/herself in front of a tree shredder to end it all.
Can someone run an IP and see if it is indeed our Rahstyles?

Originally posted by BookerT: Hello everyone im a n00b in the dvd backup scene. I read the great tutorials on this site so now I have a better understandin on backing up my dvds.
I am currently using the WinAVI tutorial to convert my AVI (divx) files to dvd folders. Also the IMG burn tutorial to burn to DVD+R.
I have encountered one problem my dvds play on the DVD player inside my computer but..when inserted into my SONY DVD player it mention REGION INCOMPATIABLE.
My question is how can i make my dvds playable on ANY dvd player? I like more user friendly software like WinAVI and IMGBurn and im tryna to make my process simple as can be.. I am currently burning my Avi Divx movies to DVD.
Any suggestions?

BOOKERT
I would try using dvixtodvd for your conversions. It's the free version of convertXtoDVD and it works ok for most projects. There is also DVDFlick and Super but I would stick with dvixtodvd for now as it's the most simple thing you can use me thinks. Make sure you have auto aspect (3x4 or 9x16) and use "force to NTSC" as that is the region you are in I'm sure. ;)
good luck....

Friend,
1) pull up a comfy chair/lazy boy
2) pop open a cold one
3) get some munchies
4) get set for a good read and laughs
5) http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/689729
6) enjoy, pop open another cold one !
Thank you iluvendo. That was certainly some interesting reading. I lol'd quite a bit. At least now I can see why such a large group of AD Regulars are in attendance.
God bless you folks for putting up with this guy.
Some assembly required.

Atleast, Imgburn comes the MOST recommended!!! Though it hardly insures a guaranteed burn!

As far as I know, its simply a GREAT burning software. It does not deal with that type of issue. The dvd author is what deals with that.
I need to go to work VERY soon, So I may not reply again

Yah...I guess alot of people just assume since ther're new, they'll play almost anything. Which is more or less true. If you buy the cheapest player though...well...
My thing is looking to see if it can play divx (DIVX LOGO). That tells ME it supports multiple formats.
EDIT - Divx tells me its worth taking the time to look at, LOL

Some of you on here are edited by ddp for accusing me of someone I have no clue of.
Again I just came here to discuss my issues with making dvds. After all this is media forum!
Makes me wonder if I should seek higher advice from elsewere being i'm not taken seriously.
I appreciate afterdawn as a great site for learning and I have certainly obtained alot of useful knowledge regarding media.
I just want to know what small step am I missing to the reason why my dvds dont play on the dvd player.

There is no need for the language buddy :) It can be frustrating at times, but there is never a need for that.
What EXACTLY are you trying to do?
