I would SOOO would love yo get my hands on this! (I like to collect rare stuff like this or even an old PS1 net yaroze). But anyway, there is 1 or 2 sites you could go to but DEFINITELY 1 person who would be interested in this and that's Dark ALex from the PSP modding scene if you want to PM me to talk in private I can see if I can get in contact with him to set something up (maybe).

I would buy that in a heartbeat if I had an infectus modchip but gonna have to pass im afraid.
Thats a seriously rare PS3 if it really is a DEBUG console but the way it sounds, its one of those cluster computing ones with no hypervisor on the Cell CPU

Hi Oner,
I just tried to send you a PM, but I can't find the function anywhere to send you one. Any help would be great :)
Alternatively, send me a message with your email address and I'll send you a message back.
Cheers

Register and show off to everyone what you got, ... im sure people would want it for the sake of it havig low security ad that they'd be able to play backups in it possibly... hahaha...
PS3&XBOX360 HAX
The Question ur asking urself now is, for how much exacly ? since its just a dev console ur looking at about $399-$299-$199... But if its confirmed back ups and modified firmwares and yada yada are able to run on it( considering the security on it is relatively low ) , u can even sell it for a whooping $699... I know it has its several disadvantages but it'd be worth it,
PC = HP DV7 Entertainment Laptop (2008)
Intel Core2Duo @2.26GHz, 3GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia Ge Force 9600m GT 512MB, Windows 7 Unltimate
Phones = White iPhone 3GS 16GB , Black iPhone 4S 16GB

Ok hold up, sorry for double posting but, if its got no hypervisor, that means, no security , which means, that theoretically, it'll run bluray back ups... because the hypervisor is what checks that watever game is in the PS3 is original and ot a backup right ... interesting !

Afraid that is wrong, I didnt give enough details.
These cluster computing PS3s have the hypervisor unlocked for the Cell CPU (Not the RSX) but ONLY for any OS in the other Os option i.e. linux and only for C++ code.
Still that is amazing though, If a dev had that they could be able to see exactly where the hypervisor is controlled so that it could be removed to allow everyone full access to the Cell and RSX's power(The hypervisor is always in place except on signed code in retail and debug ps3s, its apparently not active for C++ code in the Other OS option of PS3s like this one).
Just as a side note,
The hypervisor does not block backup games from executing, in that it doesnt check the security codes etc on the blu ray or check the security signature.
There is a lot more security than the hypervisor.
The hypervisor is there mainly to keep Linux and any other "Other OS" from fully using the Cell and RSX(To prevent linux PS1 and PS2 emulators from running aswell as other heavy programs) aswell as of course preventing piracy.
It is really too complicated to discuss all the PS3s security, its nowhere near as lax as the psp or ps2 or any other console before for that matter.
All thats important is this console may be very rare and could help a dev find out how to crack PS3 security.

it is very similar to the 8 PS3's i recieved in the node cell development kit. cost me £11,000 for it, these are very different from your console. i mean the PS3's i got with the node has substantially different options in the system. i would love to test it in my kit and see if regular code would run correctly and maybe hardware would be substantially different
BTW if anyone wants to purchase a node
here's the link

Hi All,
I'm considering removing this auction off eBay as most the people on this forum have said that we shouldn't sell it on there. Not quite sure what the problem with this console is as it came from a very reputable source, but nevermind.
Is anybody interested in purchasing this console from us? If so, please PM me or recommend a price.
Regards
Lewis
