Hi, I've got afew questions to ask.
I've bought a PSP 2006 with Firmware 5.03 and was modified. After afew days, I off my PSP completely and On it again, it became un-modified. Do you know how to solve this? And by the way, can i re-upgrade the official firmware to 5.03 ?

If you turned it off and it became un-modded, that means it had HEN (Homebrew Enabler) enabled but it wasn't running CFW. You'll just have to enable it again I suppose, see here if you don't know how. Only go up to step 5 if all you want is HEN enabled. If you want to install 5.03 GEN-A (which actually isn't the latest version anymore), then read on in the guide. I reccomend installing 5.00 M33-6 as your CFW (see here, use that program to install M33 if you want), but obviously your motherboard has to support flashing, or you'll brick.

Thanks and hope this will work. But my CFW is already 5.03 and I'll have to install it again? Or I should downgrade to 5.00 M33-6?

Thanks, With regard.

Wait, you had CFW? I thought you just had HEN enabled?? If you have HEN enabled, you can run homebrew but you're still on OFW. I'm talking about getting to CFW through HEN (running a CFW installer with HEN enabled. I reccommend 5.00 M33-6 but if you have a TA-088v3+ motherboard then you'll have to go with 5.03 GEN-A.

Search for a program called "PSPIdent" and run it on 5.03 ChickHEN. Check what is displayed in "motherboard model".

Nevermind about that. And, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE METHOD YOU GAVE!!! My problem had been fixed now and able to play games from memory card, although the method is very complicated. BUT once again, Thank! I appreciate it.

I had a PSP 2006 slim. With OFW 5.03. How to modify it without using ChickHEN GEN-A? I wanna try using 5.00 M33-6.
