The reason why all these anti soccer people are hear is that there are more and more people waking up and realizing that soccer is too bleedin boring. I would rather watch Nascar or IRL over soccer. At least I can look forward to some crashes. The only thing to look forward to in soccer is the end of the game. Another valid sport would be women's beach volleyball, but that's another story.

Footbll is the fastest growing sport and the largest by such a huge percent. Even the asians are getting into to it and a big way. Yeah i can really see the whole world sitting down to watch teh RUgby world cup - everyone watches the world cup. Soccer rules....
Now get back to your hockey discussions as no one will ever change my opinion ;-)

Yeah, the Colorado whiners have been eliminated!!!!!!! Shame that Toronto got eliminated though. Would have been nice, but you can't have everything.

Thanks Bird,
It is really sad that Toronto is out. But now the Flames have to take it. The Cup should be home in Canada.
dRD, you think Canada will beat Finland. I my vote is Canada, but you know why.

I would say Canadians are favorites for the match tomorrow, but the game that they delivered against Czech was rather sad and if they can't do better than that, its going to be 4-1 for Finland :-)

Maybe, but I think you had a typo on the country name :)
Very true about Czech, but they didn't need to try. Oh I really can't come back on that one. I do hope its a good game.

dRD, What did you think of the World Champship?
I was going to post this early, the Finland game was close, but Canada pulled out. Then they took the final. At least you can say that Finland lost to the world champions.
NHL, Its good that the Flames are still in. See how tonight goes. It would be nice if Canada took the Cup as well.

Prisoner: Ye, it was a good game, but of course it annoyed that Canada was never in lead during the game, but then managed to finish the game for them in the sudden death period. Ah well, next year better luck :-)

Wasn`t this year back to back wins for Canada. If I am right, its been a long time since that has occured for Canada. All the best to the Finns for next year. I didn`t watch the game, but heard it went into overtime. You were right about four goals for the Finland, but just forgot about the 5 for Canada :)

How have I missed this post for so long?!? Oh well, at least I found it. Hmm, Calgary or Tampa Bay...such decisions...I used to live in Tampa Bay, but then again Calgary deserves this, compared to other teams they have almost no talent and yet they have more heart than the rest of the league. I'm gonna have to go with Calgary for the cup, they just want it more.
This is an amazingly imformative site with many places to find information and help. Please support it.

As I said on Apirl 29 here, I think Calgary is going to take the cup.
Fun though, there are more Canadian players on Tampa bay, but the flames are truely Canadian.
Flamers all the way!! :)

I don`t think slaughtered is fair. it was just tied up, first game was 4:1 for Calgary. Lastnight was 1:4. So now that it tied, Calgary will kill them at home. I think the flames will win in 6 games :)
