I feel sorry for the dudes that have to process Jar Jar Binks into 3d!

So 3d... Matt Stone and Trey Parker (South Park) would be having a fit about now LOL.

What planet do do come from? Maybe this is just one of those times you are wrong. 3-D TVs are just coming out on planet earth. Way less than 1% of the house holds on planet earth have 3-D sets. I would say 3-D is as much of a gimmick as color. Not all movies are worth seeing in 3-D but many action movies are. I am sure 3-D has added sales to the cinema. I will not wait for all 3-D movies to come out on DVD, like I usually do. For that reason, 75% of the movies I go to now are 3-D.

Mr Movies...
Your opinion this time is not main stream. Avitar is the highest grossing moving of all time. Pretty good for garbage!

Mind you I don't plan on getting a 3-D TV in fact I don't even have a big HD TV yet. We were putting it off because we will have to revamp the entertainment center, then when I was starting to shop, I got laid off. Still, I go to the movies more often than I did because I like the effect.

Actually, I'm amazed they can do it at all. I keep thinking it will look like cardboard cut outs in a diorama. Like they do with old photos in documentaries.

I did not mind the colourisation fad as much as other people. Of course I can see why they are upset from a purist's point of view. But they used a pallet from early colour films (colour took some time to become the standard) so it didn't look as freaky as many made out. I was impressed they could do it, plus I thought that one could always turn off the colour.

However, 3d movies tire my eyes out. You spend half your time having to figure out where to focus.

Can't people at least admit that the dialogue sucks in Star War films?

I'm still waiting for the truly really great sci-fi film. District 9, the 1st Matrix or Star Trek: First Contact almost did it for me... Anybody got any more, apart from Star War films and Avatar, to add to the list?
