Unfortunalty your never gonna get it. I went through all the tricks and tried most everything. Even had em come out with 4 different modems, they all sucked. I just stopped using them and switched back to dial up. Went with juno speed band and a 2x usr modem. It's not cable but it works so much better than dish. You should complain to the FTC while your at it for selling you something that doesn't work. Their interested in hearing from people like you.

you will not believe your eyes if you get SatSpeed2.1
It is not your modem. I ordered the DW6000 couldn't get it to work so left the 4000 on... DW thought i was running the 6000 and i got great speed until I called for help w/ 6000 LOL cut me down big time.
I have been using the two programs together now all day and i can not believe the difference, you would never know it was DW. SatSpeed2.1 FAPMon2.5a
I installed several dif ver. of FAPMon was not sure of how it worked. I like the 2.5a best for me.
SatSpeed2.1 blew me away!!! felt the speed at once!
no waiting! do a google on them I did and can get it maybe free some where. I couldn't wait tho. got it while the getin was good. very happy!!!!

I know there are a lot of unhappy Direcway and DirecPC users and x users out there. i hate to complain but it is still the same and it has sbeen over a year.
They made me dial in all day long and half another day just to get the darn thing registered the first time. Then Laughed at me when I sak if it took everyone that long to register.
Now I can hit my FAP (169.00MB) in less than an hour big trouble (big grins)

Hope it lasts for ya, i got away with it for a week,before they shut my system completly down, it took the repair guy 7 days to come out and he still couldn't fix it. First thing he said "it's your modem and software (all lies) and he took em away. Said he would upgrade me to the new and better stuff. I told em don't come back on the second day I was done with it.
Good luck all with satlink up. I think everyone should complain to the FTC and stop using it.

did they pay u back for your equipment?
People have DSL less than a mile away from my home.
I guess they ran out of money for cable ( snicker ) SWB telephone area. There is Cable TV as well but no cable internet. I can't figure it. I have dial up as well. have to keep it for FAP resrictions down time.
I did a google for other satellite Co. nada
My contract is up now. I get back on my dial up and it is so slow I can watch a whole TV show while the page is loading. Reminding me I put up with DW.

Nope, they sent me a bill for the eary cancellation and a bunch of other stuff. So I forwarded it to the FTC and the mail fraud unit of the postal service. I kept really good records and made them invoice me. They over charged me for usage and installation. The sat dish sets on my house till this day 3 months later. I send em a rent bill monthly for 130.00 until they come and get it. ( they charged me 80 for deinstallation on one of my invoices.) Sooner or later I'll take em to court.

I was wondering Arnold2 if I go and register as a member at http://www.copperhead.cc is it worth it.I heard you where getting 160MB download in a hour or less.I am kinda curious to what the programs you mention actually do.I don't know man is it constantly at that speed all the time with those programs you use or is it just sometimes it reaches that speed.I am just trying to have a constanst internet connection all the time,because I don't have dial up along with my DW,and it sucks man since I have to wait sometimes to get on the internet.The internet is sometimes on then just cuts off alot.I also have to rewrite my posts a couple times off of here,because my internet cuts me off alot when sending my messages.The DWay really does suck man Arnold2 man you should see about getting dsl man.I think dsl would be a hell of alot better than DWay or cable.I feel sorry for noelyoung also I hope I don't get the ignorant DWay people sending me numerous bills when cable or dsl gets in my area and I cancel the agreement with there arse.Anyways I am kinda screwed right now since this is the only internet service I can pretty much get,but I would like to look into those two programs you have.

advise do not upgrade to sp2 with SatSpeed 2.1a program, until they get a upgrade. Can not connect to p2p programs after sp2. going back if i can.
It may not be the SatSpeed just sp2. going back anyway.
Did you try all the addresses I posted? I thought you could dl the FAPMON one of the verisons anyway. I did not have to sign in or give a pass to get it. Think I would have to look a lil longer for the SatSpeed / free. Man if all you have is DW you are in unhappy. Sorry
I was doing fine untill sp2 yesterday.
The speed was up and down but still lots faster. can not connect to p2p programs.
going to do some investagating today if I find something I let u know.

Alright thanks man I appreciate it alot.I did look all over the place,but pretty much everybody nowadays has dsl or cable man.I even went and look at http://www.copperhead.cc and they want people to donate to them man just to be a member :(.I will keep searching man,but these two programs must be pretty rare or something.

Done I have the two programs mentioned Arnold2.I went and became a registered member at http://www.copperhead.cc and yeah the programs seem to be working very good.I am having problems on how to use the FAPMon though this I am uncertain on how to use.Anyways I am glad somebody has found these two programs though,because these two programs do actually make a difference.Thanks for the site and programs I appreciate alot Arnold2.I think if use port forwarding with SP2 it might work with,but this I am uncertain also.I will look more into it and if it doesn't work I can always go back and uninstall the SP2 right.

you may like to look around this site. to lots of different views on the subject. I have direcway 4000.
No matter what I try they catch up with me sooner or later. When they do I change :)

Hey wats up Arnold2 I am once again stuck man.I have been using the tools described right,but still they only are setup for the 4000 series.I am running on the 6000 series,and I am thinking the tools are not compatible or something is wrong with my internal settings in my internet registry files.I have been looking at the site that I am subscribed to,and they are saying for me to edit my registry keys for the program to work.I was wondering would this effect me in anyway or am I gonna lose something that is needed in this process man.

I ran the same 6000 series and could never get it to work properly for very long. After it ran good for about a day they shut me down. GET AWAY FROM DIRECWAY=============
THEY SUCK AND YOUR JUST THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY.
You can getdial up to run above 56k now.(my backup runs around 58-85.) (Most of the time the satellite runs slower. CAUSE IT DOESN"T WORK!!!
Not broadband but a lot cheaper and better than direcway.

Do'h yeah I guess your right,man why can't cable or dsl come out where I live.Anyways what do you think would be a good high speed dial up service that is reliable I could go with man.I used to only pay 15 dollars a month for dial up,and that was alright when I had it.I am currently paying 4 times that much,and it is making my pockets empty with nothing to recieve from it.I agree with you noelyoung,trying and trying to see if I can get anything from it.It is only giving me more problems than dial up,and I am definately paying for it.
