hey guys i got a question im running with devhook .44 so i was lookin at stuff on the options(umd select,etc) then i came across the firmware option that has 1.50(flash),1.50,2.00,2.50,2.60,2.71 so my question is what would happen if i went to like 2.71? should i juss leave it as it is?

with the settings that come on devhook.44 it wont load properly you have to select them. use these settings.
UMD SELECT - iso or UMD DISC if you're playing a UMD
UMD MOUNT - ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION - 2.xx --> 2.00
FIRMWARE - 2.71
CPU CLOCK - 222
BOOT SELECT - reboot xmb
and leave other where it is.

IownApsp try to get a UMD game.(I think that the sampler disc does work but some people sed that not all games work)
Are your settings the same as the ones hexitnow posted here.

What games have you tryed?(Tekken)
There are some peopel that have problem with the Sample UMD and some that do not.

I have tried alot of backups with alot of UMD disks, and they all work. If the UMD sampler disk didnt work then it was either operator fault or it was it the wrong region code. Sampler disk is the ONLY disk I use. On more then one psp I must add and I have seven. Tekken also works with all UMD disks I have thrown at it whether it be be game or sampler disk.

i have tried around 30 games and every single one of them works with my umd sampler disk its nothing wierd

There are 2 kinds of umd samplers,maybe that's the issue.

hexitnow why do you have 7 psp?
If there is 2 kinds of umd sampler disc then one is working and the other is not working.What sampler UMD do you have the old or new UMD?
I use a UMD game and all my iso games work ok.
I think I have the old sampler UMD but I have not tryed it.
I am going to look for it to try it and If it works then it is going to be the new sampler UMD that does not work.

IownApsp you were only trying one iso game?(you need to try 3 games) so you can see if it's your iso or DH.
legend999 that is the sampler UMD vol.1 that I have and I tryed it with 2 games(Valhalla Knights(JP)and Bounty Hounds(JP) and it works
I have tryed DHv46 with 3 discs and they all work
Pursuit Force demo disc
sampler UMD vol.1 disc
a Game UMD disc(GTA and Wipeout)
So do you have the sampler UMD vol.2 disc that works for you?
Is there only vol.1 and 2 of the sampler UMD?if so then they do work(or only work on some games)or it can be your DH FW files.
I use a UMD game disc on all my iso games.

Hi quick question. Hopefully quick answer!!!
Got a ISO, actually a CSO file. RAR also contains a dh and PSP, the dh has lots of sub dirs and the PSP dir has a GAME dir with further sub DIRs.
The instructions I have are in spanish.
Do I only need the CSO file for DevHook? Or do I need to copy the other folders to the root of my memory card?

PLEASE HELP!!!
OK, thanks to the fantastic site, I've downgraded and played a UMD in emulated 2.71... From Noob to Semi-Pro in just 5 hours of reading!
I'm now trying to load my first ISO. F1 06. It runs the game, loads it up but after all the menu's in the game when you finally are ready to race, I just get a white screen and the memory light keeps blinking...
I've got a 1GB card.
Please can some assist... I want to go to bed happier!

kix_p If you have DH installed(on your MS and working) you do not need the dh and PSP folders(this are the DH files that you put in your MS if you do not have it installed)
What UMD game do you have in your deive?
Are you useing the settings that are in this page?
Try more then 1 iso or .cso(it can be the game you have is a bad dump) I have F1 2006 working ok as .cso

The UMD sampler disc does work.. Put your ISO/CSO file in the ISO folder. Then load up devhook click on UMD select and then select the iso/cso you want to play then click start it should load up.

I think that it may be the people that try them have problems with the iso game or the sampler UMD.
Thats why I use my UMD game disc only.
