been getting alot of downloads for my popsloader pack, as outdated as it is its still the latest and most complete pack i've seen but i'm assuming no one is having any problems with ps1 on the psp as of late since no posts have been added and the psp scene seems to be dying out other then Prometheus and a new possible 6.30 exploit even tho i'm continually sending this pack out.

PLEASE....='( I really wanted to play the game.. thanks for the guide and hope to receive a response asap. thanks!
wherever you got the info that it needs 3.30 is wrong.
read http://www.gamerspress.com/index.php?tit...patibility_List

the problem that most don't realize is some people make the single or multidisc eboot with the wrong IDs in your case the disc ID needs to be SLPS-02480 and has not been tested much as a multidisc eboot so you may need to try earlier or later versions of pops fw other then 3.30-5.00 M33-3 as they are the glitchy ones

also try downloading the eboot again from another source like pspiso.com or...
make your own from the original discs so that you can be sure of making the eboot correctly and i recommend not making it multi boot as this causes more errors then saves space and is only required for certain games that need to change disc before a save for that disc can be made but that can be fixed by editing the game IDs to be the same so if your so inclined to make your own you will need a few different programs to accomplish all of this.

if you don't have a popsloader with all the firmwares i have already made one that you can download for m33 or gen cfw here http://www.theonyxguild.com/PSP.POPSloader.5.00-M33-2.rar
thank you so much! i tried 3.0 and 3.1 and they worked with the p.e.2..hehe thank you so much! keep helping others.we owe you a lot.=)

For some reason, the POPS which I rip myself using PSAR Dumper doesn't show up in the POPSLoader Menu.
Somehow, though, they appeared when I downloaded ShaggyZE's POPS Pack.

I copied the right files and gave them the prefix of the CFW (4.01), but they didn't show up anyway.
Can anyone tell me where I fucked up?

first if you looks at steps:
7. Now, connect your PSP to your PC and in the ROOT of your PSP memory stick, you'll find a folder named "F0" :)
8. You'll need the following files from the "F0" folder :
thats where psar dumper puts the files, not in the popsloader menu
second if you have my pack you don't have to rename since i have done all steps 1-10 for you just read readme.txt the instructions in my pack to install the popsloader.prx and pops firmwares in the right folders and ensure its enabled in the recovery menu and pick the pops firmware you want to load when u start the ps1 game for the first time and hold R shoulder while loading the ps1 game to change it each time after if needed

and since you see the popsloader menu i assume its installed correctly
you then said...
Quote:
Somehow, though, they appeared when I downloaded ShaggyZE's POPS Pack.

appeared in the popsloader menu on the psp? would that not mean you copied the folders to the right place and everything is working?
and also acidy made a typo in the guide the 401 should be suffix not prefix like "popsman401.prx" which is how i already have them all named...

I took the correct files, pops.prx, popsman.prx, pafmini.prx and that libpsp file from the F0 folder.
I know I got the correct files, because they matched to the ones in your pack.

And yes, I named them like that.
Didn't know the difference between prefix and suffix ; o ;

After I downloaded your pack and put them in the seplugins folder, all the pops showed up, in popsloader, when booting a PS1 game.

Everything IS working, I'm just wondering where I went wrong when trying to place the pops myself.

if it says "root" then it should be on the memory stick itself.
root = X:\
where X is the location of the memory stick in your pc. it's like C:\ or D:\

it goes like this >>> X:\eboot.pbp

i hope it helps.=)

wow, never thought anyone would post in this thread again, but i am no longer hosting the popsloader pack and don't know if i will again unless needed.
and as for your discovery it has been mentioned in this thread many times like on page 19, and most places that you download popsloader from do indeed mention it or include a file that makes it enabled for you.

I pandora'd a psp 1000 to 3.90-M33. Everything appeared to be fine, even EBOOT psx games worked.

Then I tried to use popsloader (I put seplugins in the root). I cannot get the menu to come op where I select the version I need for my game (holding R when booting up a game).
However, I also have a slim psp that does not have this problem. I narrowed it down to this: under the advanced options the psp-1000 does not have the option to enable plugins for games or for pops. They just aren't there.

Using the exact same memory card in my working psp slim, they suddenly are there. Both were flashed with the same pandora battery.
The weird thing is, even after re-pandoraing the psp-1000 the options are still missing.

Can anyone offer me any help? And yes I have used multiple version of seplugings. That folder is fine, since it does work on a different psp using the same card (and doesn't the other way around(.

usually that only happens with using fake memory stick, the wrong popsloader for your cfw version or pops.txt being setup wrong other then that its a mystery.

I thought that too. But it is a Sandisk memory stick I use for the psp-1000. I have a Sony one in my slim. If I swap those, the psp-1000 still does not have the option.
Afraid it's not the memory stick.

How about using popsloader with cwcheat?

Am using 3.71M33-4 with popsloader 3.71M33-4b (bugfix).
Using cwcheat 0.2.3 (3.71 version).

It creates 3 txt files:

game150.txt
game.txt
pops.txt

pops.txt replaces the original popsloader txt file.

Original:
ms0:/seplugins/popsloader.prx
Replacement:
ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheatpops.prx

If I use the original pops.txt then I get popsloader menu. If I use the replacement pops.txt then I get cwcheat but no popsloader menu.

I need to play FF6 on pops 3.03 version (game save working)... and with cheats :S

don't replace the pops.txt; merge it to have both.
