Shrink won't open DVD +RW disc recorded on Domestic DVD recorder

Hi there, I am new to site, hope someone can help.

I have a DVD recorder that replaced my old VHS machine. It records onto +R or +RW media only.

I basically want to get my recorded TV programs into DVD shrink so that I can remove adverts etc.

For some reason the +RW discs will not open in Shrink. (Either using open Disc or open File or re author).

I have noticed that the directory structure is:-

D:\Video_RM (This has .Dat files among others that I am not familiar)
\Video_TS (I recognise files here .VOP .IFO etc

I have tried using DVD decryptor to create an ISO file but it fails to read and after so many re-tries it stops.

Then tried using DVD decryptor in file mode to create the files (this
worked OK but I did notice messages "unable to open sectors)

I then made an ISO file from the new batch of created files. But still Shrink wouldn?t open the ISO file. (Message was something along the lines of "incorrect navigation structure")

Just as a test I burnt the new files to a -R disc and had no problem playing the disc on my standalone DVD recorder/player.

Any ideas please
