getting a error when in dvd shrink

why am I getting this error when in dvd shrink. the error says failed to read e:/ compy protection error - the read failed because the sector is encrypted. What can i do????? thanks.

What movie are you trying to rip, are you using Shrink by itself or have you tried other programs?

im trying to burn elf and XXX. I only used DVD Shrink and i would get that error. I also have dvd decrycter.

1st step: Try ripping the movie to your hard drive with DVD Decrypter in file mode or iso mode if you wish. doesnt matter which one just means in iso mode you read first then once copied reopen decrypter and click mode iso then select iso write and bingo! on your way to having a backed up dvd. if you chose file mode in decrypter after you decrypt open shrink click open files,then locate your movie folder and open it it should then analyise and thats roughly it im sure you know the rest hope this bit of info helps if you have trouble just reply back and i can give you better details to burning good luck.

I cant even do that, I get this error, in all the mode in DVD Decrypter, it say i/o error
interpretation : copy protection key exchange failure -authenication failure- this causes DVD Decrypter to get all stuck and I have to end the task in windows task manager, what can i do?

its the discs copy protection must be newer than dvd dercypters last update...
run DVD43 in the background them use decrypter again!

I have not found any special protection with Elf or XXX, I used Shrink and Decrypter on these movies. But as Rotary states try DVD43 in the background and see if this makes a difference. Or uninstall and reinstall the programs. You can also try the free trial versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD from
http://www.slysoft.com
Try cleaning your disk, or if you can try another original :~)

hi
arniebear has just reminded me, its not the cant read due to not opening the drive up is it?
play the dvd for 5 mins in powerdvd this unlocks the drive for ripping! i have hacked firmware so i forget this problem!
but dvd43 will unlock the drive...

ok well i run the cd in DVD Shrink and it analized only %20 , then stopped, then i got a error dvd encountered an error and cannot continue- failed to read file e:/ data error (cycle redundancy check). IF i run the cd in decrycter first, how do i do that, can you please provide the steps for me,thanks alot.

After you have ripped your iso with DVD Decrypter, open DVD Shrink and go to your file tab and then open disc image find your iso file open it and the Shrink will analyze and then you either hit backup or re-author to do main title only.
