We probably need the help of someone more experienced. This seems like a tough problem.

Same here - no workee. Tried two seperate images (same size tho).
two seperate media - WalMart Generic ILOs and Verbatim Datalife - both at 2x.
Tried DVDLoader and EA method - no joy - same black screen. Using SwapMagic 3.6. Never had a prob with any other game. Maybe time for SM 4.0? Thanks for other comments - thought it was me somehow.

Same here, nothing but black, and I assume this is the file you're talking about gmz-ffp.iso. I'll try a few tricks, tell ya if anything comes up.

It doesnt matter if people really want it or not, what matters is that in these forums we waite too see new postings and the one you just left was pointless to our problem i happen too want the game for my nephew, not that thats any of your business, so please in future dont be filling up our message boards with question having nothing to do with our problem. By the way i burnt it and am having the same problem black screen , trying too load.

Yeah, it can be fixed. And hell, the intro is well worth the hassle, it's soooo bizzare.

First - Extract all the data in the iso, prolly using isobuster. Make sure to put it in it's own folder.

Second - (Please note this step can prolly be skipped) - get a copy of dvd scan lite 3.7 and patch the files in the folder and sub folders with your data.

Third - Get a copy of cddvdgen, preferrably version 2.0, and rebuild the iso exactly how it looked in isobuster, you'll see what I mean but if you don't just post. When you open up cddvdgen you want to create a new dvd project, the middle one. From here just copy them in the same place as they were in isobuster.

Fourth - When all the directory info is done go to the volume tab. The disc name is SLUS 20615, producer is PLAYSTATION, and license area is America. You shouldn't need anything else but there is more if for some reason someone needs it.

Fifth - Hit the record button at the top right and you'll be prompted to save an iml file, save it on the desktop as f4. Also you'll get 2 errors but just hit ok and you should get to another window. If you don't then you might be missing the wnaspi32.dll. Nero should have this if you need it.

Sixth - Go to file and export image to the desktop as f4, it should name itself automatically, you just need to click okay.

Seventh - Now just sit back and let it build, oh maybe 15 minutes or so. When it's done you'll have about 7 new files on your desktop. From here close cddvdgen and isobuster if you haven't already.

Eighth - Open up a dos prompt and go to your desktop, for most of you the command will be "cd desktop" remove the quotes. From here type "copy /b f4.000 + f4.001 + f4.002 + f4.003 f4.iso" and this combines your files. This also assumes you have a file named f4.003, if your files only go up to f4.002 don't add "+ f4.003", just put a space and f4.iso at the end. From here hit enter.

Ninth - When it finishes burn it like normal. Notice it's about a gig less as well, pretty cool huh.

Well here is my crappy guide :-p , if anyone needs more help i'll give my best.

Can someone confirm if the game burns right with DVD Decrypter. I don't see how higher profile games copy fine but a movie game requires a special process.

I left out in previous post - I used Alcohol120 to burn .iso in my failed attempts.
Just curious - why all these steps to "fix"..
If anyone can edit or add comment to aminon's guide please do - pretend the reader never used some of the tools mentioned.
thanks

I've followed aminon's instruction and it works! burned it with dvddecrypter at 1x (just in case) and it's fine with swapmagic 3.3

Oh yeah, when I burned this game it was compatable with my swap magic 2.0 and dvdloader v7all, glad it worked for others too ;)

@cubalibre - sorry bud there's no easier way than this to "fix" this game. What we have is a full dvd rip, it's not altered in the least, so that means no one has properly patched it, which means we have to.

@elsamboys

Q? isobuster, is that the one i can download at download.com?

yeah download.com or softpedia.com , it should be a free download ;)

Q? where i can get scan dvd lite 3.7 and cddvdgen?

http://rapidshare.de/files/2693722/tools.zip.html

you might wanna check there for some tools

If it turns out when you see this message it's been edited by mods leave an e-mail and i'll see what I can do

Aminon-
Can you please explain more about Step 2. Not sure what I'm doing when I try to patch files w/ dvdscan lite. And, has anyone skipped this step?

Sure step 2

Open up dvd scan lite and select dvd. Next hit file and open, then browse to the folder you put your files in and scan them. To be clear at this point you've only scanned the files in the extracted folder, NOT the subfolders. It won't scan the sub folders so browse to them next and scan inside of them as well. This program allows you scan all files in a folder at once and tells you if a file even needs scanning. So open up the application and scan ;) it's just that easy
