I just finished encoding Aviator, but I messed up and encoded to file rather than to disc image. I did full backup mode in order to retain the menu. The software I have is Ulead Moviefactory3.5. That software can accept the .VOB files, but I do not know what will happen if I try to burn.

I was wondering if I should just re-encode the entire thing with DVD Shrink, but do it to image so I can burn with DVD Decrypter or should I just try the Ulead Software.

Looking at the options in the Ulead, it has an option for copying dvd folders. Will this keep the menu in tact, or will it turn it into video?

Thanks

I haven't used Ulead -I have it but never installed it - you should be able to open the video_ts folder shrink created and burn with Ulead.
Here's is one thing I found - don't know if it will help:
http://www.ulead.com/learning/dmf/dmf4_03_1.htm
If not in Shrink choice open file- re-encode the movie and pick the option to burn iso with dvdd.
Why not play around a little with Ulead's software?

Thanks for the reply.

Ulead worked though it burned at 8x and I wanted 4x. Also it did not set bookmark to -ROM. The disc is compatible with my standalone players, but not my ps2. The main problem is that it did not get the surround sound for some reason. It only works on the front two speakers and not the center or surround speakers.

ALso, Ulead software package does not seem that bad. It has an option for making DVD video discs, which I guess is the DVD equivalent of a VCD. Also, you can make DVD MP3 discs. I wonder if those will play on a dvd/cd car stereo or a home theater system? That would be better than backing up as data.
