Most updates are just to tweek things that are normally already in place.You will find that older versions will do the job just like the newer versions.There may be slight improvements in quality in the newer versions but all will do the job.

DVD Decrypter alone can do the job flawlessly.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

@J-Kwon,

According to my knowledge, DVD Decrypter is not a "shrinking or encoding" program. DVD Decrypter will only "decrypt and crack" the encrypted protection codes or copyrighted protection on the dvd movies and it will "back up" movies and games only.

When I said; "DVD Decrypter alone can do the job flawlessly" - What I really meant is, it [DVD Decrypter] still "can handle" and "it will decrypt" any new release dvd movies regardless of the absent/discontinued from updating from its author or its site. The reason I said that is because of this question here: "Has there been any new movies that u cant back up cuss of newer encryptions on the movies ? since there has not been updates for DVD Decrypter? So, don't misunderstood me in any other way alright. Cheers now.... :-) :-)

I wouldnt say DVDDecrypter can handle any and all new released DVD titles as since the studios got wise to DVDDecrypter and other tools like it. Sony came up their new AcCross protection which Decrypter broke but that was the older version, Sony keeps updating AcCross with each DVD title they release. older versions of Decrypter might not be able to bypass/remove the newer versions in time as since the program isnt updated anymore to update the AcCross protection removal code.

AnyDVD on the other hand is updated what seems every other day/wk to accomdate for newer updated dvd titles utilizing the newer CSS/AcCross protections. while AnyDVD isnt free it does the job. plus you get a lifetime of the upgrades as SlySoft releses them.
