I Will be taking advantage of the AnyDVD deal for Afterdawners and am trying to decide whether to get the bundle with Clone DVD2. Is there much if any advantage for Clone DVD2 over Nero Recode2 or DVD Shrink? They all sound pretty similar.

I've never used Recode, but I think that Shrink and CloneDVD 2 will give you about the same quality. However, CloneDVD 2 will do a movie in about 1/3 the time it will take Shrink.

Don't know about Nero Recode2 but the others are free or have free fully functional trials. BTW I think the guy who wrote Shrink is working for Nero, believe Recode is essentially the same as Shrink. Compare and judge for yourself. You are the best to determine what you like.

The quality in Recode2 is very good only faster. However, I like the editting capabilities of CloneDVD you can split a disk and preserve menus on both disks which is great for TV series. Both programs have their advantages and I use them both.
