That is because he held enter down and he thought hitting enter would also work as a post reply. But you have to actually click it. And he found out after holding enter down that it dosent work.

i was wondering that too.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

a fan of xbox 360?.....I wonder who it could be.
I do have a friend though who is a fan of it, and I ...I mean my friend couldnt be happier.
anyway since the ps3 version has more space what type of islands do you think they might add on to it.
Peace out!

none, but textures can be much larger and uncompressed. for how large gta games are, textures sure take alot of space. uncompressed textures on the ps3 will likely help it pioneer the two console versions. extra space also mean more diverse textures and possibly less repeating textures.

You know, with all this talk about space and how big the game area is going to be, I just have one question: Does anybody find that memorizing the map is a chore? (By memorizing I mean driving around the place knowing every nook and cranny as if you lived there, the game space, forever)
- It took me a hell of a long time when I now started with GTA3.
- With Vice City, all the neon and bright colours kinda blinded me from seeing corners on the first island and on the second island, I got a headache trying to navigate my way out of little havana or little hati (initially)
- In San Andreas, I still can't find my way around without looking at the in-game map and I haven't even begun to explore teh desert yet.
To compound the frustration, games like Bully, Scarface and True Crime all present new locations for me to familiarize myself with.
My question to you is: Do we really need a game with a map the size of four continents?

lmfao yo man you do have a great point that sucked and really its the reason I never got into GTA cause I kept gettin lost! but I dont know it was kinda tight with a big a** world to get lost in and not seen the same people with the same voices that gets annoying , so maybe this will mean say hmm if gta 3 had 10 gangs to beat your A** then the blue ray gta4 will have 10,000 gangs on that A** now lol

The navigation part was easy I just inlarged the map then made a "marker" to were I was surposed to do. Also I wouldent be supriesed if they did what saints row did with navigation... If you dont know already then they made a clear path like arrows pointing insid the map were you re suposed to do. Like almost like a line pointing all the way wee you are suposed to go inside the map. Or they could do what need for speed underground 2 did were there is a big thick arrow on top of the screen and it turns right, left, down, or up or werevere it should were you are going.

Yeah that would probably make the missions easier but what if you've completed the game and you wish to revisit a "landmark" like some particular building for example. Even though you place the marker, you'll spend most of the time staring at the mini-map in the corner and not on the actual game world objects ( buildings, signs etc.) that would make the familiarizing process easier.

Well I dont find locating a spot that hard because I look at were I place the marker and lets say it is north east I would head in a north east dirction.

Good method, that's how I do it but my point is that I hate looking at the mini map instead of the beautiful game world.

Well I guess that is th way yu feal but it dosent really bother me but maybe they might make an arrow on the top of the screen as well pointing in the direction were you are surpossed to go. And then maybe you could hit select to make the mini map disapear and hit again to make it come up again.

Nice! I like how they do it in Scarface though. It saved my assa few times. So what else is another annoyace... well i see that they got the wardrobe system right in Bully and they got the fighting good in the Warriors but answer mee this: don't you see a striking resemblance of some of the game elements in Scarface to some of the earlier GTA mods (eg. driver, bodyguard)
Hey maybe game developers really do comb these message boards and listen to the gamers. If we're lucky, maybe some of our ideas may end up in GTA4 with our forum names in the credits lol.
Oh and blacGoku: I hear ya on the gangs thing. lmao!!

hey
i kinda understand what kshep92
means when he said that the gamer
spends too much time staring at the map
in the corner rather then enjoying
what the game designer have
spend some much time on
(buidings, other cars etc.)
so i think they need to think of a new
method.

No doubt about that. But I think that this thread is dread until someone asks a really stupid question, makes a really cool suggestion or we get an update about the game. Oh and speaking of updates, what do you think these "online chapters" of the game will be about?
